Guest Photographer: Jamie Forhan

There are works in the Glamour Industry that one would consider beautiful and skillfully crafted, and then there are those images that make you stop in your tracks! GlamModelz Magazine interviewed a creator of many such images. Jamie Forhan, Maryland . GlamModelz Magazine: Let’s get started! Tell me about your background…how did you get started in Photography? Jamie Forhan: My first camera was a black and white Polaroid when I was in grammar school. I took pictures of my friends and family. I upgraded to a color Polaroid in college, still using it primarily to take pictures of family and friends. The first time I was paid for my work was an image I took of my totaled Toyota. The car had been struck in the rear at over 100 miles an hour by fleeing bank robbers and the car had not exploded, It was at a time when Toyota was getting a lot of bad publicity about gas tanks exploding when their cars were hit from behind. The Toyota dealer I bought the replacement from bought the image for $200. I later joined Price Waterhouse International and used the international travel to upgrade my equipment in Hong Kong and then used it to take images in over 25 countries.
