GlamModelz:  Tell us a little about yourself and why you want to be a model? Krisha: I want to be a model because it’s something that I’ve always loved as a child and it’s something I really enjoy doing.

GlamModelz:  What are your goals with your modeling career? Krisha: My goals for my modeling career are to rock every shoot and to hopefully be signed to a major modeling agency.

GlamModelz:  Do you have the support of family and friends? Krisha: I have a ton of support from my family and friends. My mom has stuck beside me since day one. She’s my number one fan!!

GlamModelz:  What or Whom motivates you to do and be your best?  Krisha: My mom and doubters motivate me the most. My mom supports me 100% with everything I do. I also think about people in the past who have said I’d never make it as a model and that pushes me even harder to do best in everything I do.

GlamModelz:  What excited you the most when you first started modeling?  Krisha: I love fashion, hair, makeup and I love being surrounded by positive people who love modeling as much as I do.

GlamModelz:  Facial expressions are a big part of a photo session. How are you developing this skill? Krisha: Facial expressions are extremely important! The camera sees everything! I try to think positive thoughts in my head like, “you’re a diva…. you’ve got this…. you can do it!” it really helps me.

GlamModelz:  Have you had to deal with rejection from agencies and/or your peers? What advice would you give to others who will face this obstacle?  Krisha:  I’ve had to deal with rejection many times. Yes I know that it’s hard and it feels like the world is ending. I’d let someone know to never give up, stay focused, positive and don’t give up until you reach the top!

GlamModelz:  If you had one thing to say to a model just entering the industry, what would that be…and why?  Krisha:  I’d tell that person to listen to people’s opinions/comments that are already in the industry. Those will help you in the long-run.

GlamModelz:  Do you plan to go to college? What will you study?    Krisha:  I plan on to head to college immediately after high school. I plan to major in business management.

GlamModelz: . What are your hobbies and other areas of interest?  Krisha:  I have my tom boy and girly side. There’s my side I’d like to chill, play some video games and head outside to play some sports. There’s also my girly side when I want to head to the mall with my girls for a shopping spree and party by night!

GlamModelz:  How do you choose your wardrobe for a photoshoot?   Krisha:  I think about what goes excellent with my body shape, the latest trends and something that’s like “BAM!” and catches everyone’s attention.

GlamModelz:  What style/genre of modeling interests you most and why? Krisha:  I’m more interested in catalog and editorial modeling. I feel like I’d be successful and perfect for it.

GlamModelz:  Have you worked with a professional Make Up Artist? (MUA) Tell us about that experience.  Krisha:  I’ve recently worked with an AMAZING, AMAZING makeup artist, Nifa Bell. She had my makeup looking beautiful and it really boosted my confidence for my shoot. I loved it!!

GlamModelz Magazine: How did you get your start in the business?  Taylor Jordan: I really kind of fell into it on accident. My friends had mentioned something about me modeling a few times but never really acted on it. I started Googleing and doing research on the industry and came across the pictures of a local photographer. He agreed to help me start my portfolio, and we scheduled a TF shoot. It was only months later when people started asking me to help them with their portfolios!

GlamModelz Magazine: What are your goals personally and with your modeling career?  Taylor Jordan: For right now I would really love to keep modeling just for fun. I consider it to be one of my hobbies. If it turns into something I could do for a living that would be great! However, for right now, I am perfectly happy just doing it for fun and making a little extra cash!

GlamModelz Magazine: Posing 101 any suggestions to newer models coming into the business? Taylor Jordan: Be true to yourself, and don’t lower your standards! Freelance modeling is a business. Don’t let anyone tell you how to run your own business.

GlamModelz Magazine: What are your thoughts and issues with Implied and Nude posing? Taylor Jordan: I have no issues with nude models. It is not for everyone, and I respect any girl that is comfortable enough to pursue such a thing. I personally do not do nude photos because, I believe something’s should be left for my specials somebody’s eyes.

GlamModelz Magazine: Have you had the support of Family, Friends and loved ones with your modeling? Taylor Jordan: I have had tons of support from my family and friends throughout this entire journey.

GlamModelz Magazine: What are your thoughts on the whole escort issue? Taylor Jordan: I totally understand the escort issue. It is something you have to look at from multiple stand points. Having somebody on set during the shoot can definitely hinder the process. One important part of modeling is being able to let yourself go and try new things. That is really tough to do when your boyfriend or mother is standing on the other side of the camera. The other side of the issue is safety. It can be a little frightening to plan a photo shoot with a complete stranger and one of the first things he/she says is “no escorts.” In this day and age, it is easy to jump to conclusions. I would suggest meeting the photographer in a public place and spend some time getting to know each other. I use to always take a snapshot of my location on Google maps and send it to my boyfriend before I went inside the studio. Always take precautions, but don’t let it get in the way of an awesome shoot!

GlamModelz Magazine: What gets you motivated everyday to stay in shape and look your best at all times? Taylor Jordan: I don’t have a particular motive to stay in shape. It is more of an unconscious decision. Healthy eating and a little exercise everyday eventually becomes a way of life if you do it long enough. There is nothing better than the feeling you get after an awesome workout! The endorphins keep you coming back for more!

GlamModelz Magazine: How do you handle the inappropriate offers and sometimes rude individuals when they contact you for a session together? Taylor Jordan: I usually ignore the inappropriate emails or reply with a polite “no thank you, Have a nice day.”

GlamModelz Magazine: Your thoughts on TFP or TFCD sessions in general?  Taylor Jordan: TF shoots are great, as long as both the photographer and the model are getting something out of it. It wouldn’t make sense if someone gave me free pictures if I wasn’t improving their portfolio in some way. It is a great way to improve skills, and build portfolios.

GlamModelz Magazine: Facial expressions are a big part of a photo session, how and where did you learn this?? Taylor Jordan: It is something that takes a lot of practice. I still have a lot to learn in this area. you really have to know your face and what it does. I can look in the mirror all day long and get the perfect face, but when you’re standing in front of a camera, it is whole different story. Confidence is key!

GlamModelz Magazine: How do you handle rejection? From photographers, agencies and your piers? Taylor Jordan: Rejection is a huge part of this industry! I literally took rejection after rejection for two weeks until I booked my first TF shoot. It is something that you really can’t let get you down. I’m sure Tyra had just as many rejections as I did when she first started!

GlamModelz Magazine: How did you get your start in the business Kayla Marie, and what goals have your set for your self?  Kayla Marie: A photographer named Gabe Calder found me on Facebook and asked me to shoot. My second shoot was at Light Works Studio. Mike Misialek asked me to attend one of the Friday Night events Rick Trottier use to organize. It was there that I met Rick. I have worked with a lot of photographers since then including Mike and Gabe, but Rick and I have worked together steadily since that Friday night more than two years ago. As for goals, it’s simple; I want to be famous, hahaha!! If I can reach that height, that would be great. Over the past 6 months I’ve had some good opportunities. I was in a beautiful calendar with a naughty name. It is the 2012 Dirty Girl calendar, and I loved being Miss November and being a part of that fine project. I also just recently had a 10 page spread in Men’s Fitness magazine on-line. These are the kinds of opportunities that are getting me closer to my dreams.

GlamModelz Magazine: When working on concepts for upcoming shoots, how much thought or effort do you put into it? Where does your inspiration come from?  Kayla Marie: Except for one photographer, I generally like to be spontaneous about most shoots. If it is a commercial shoot like for a t-shirt company, I know what to expect, but if it is a portfolio development shoot, I am pretty low key about preparing. I like to go with the flow as much as possible. In the case of my work with Rick Trottier, we plan very carefully. Rick likes me to give him a sense of the outfit, concept or theme. Then he will come up with the poses, lighting, backgrounds and other parts that make the image great. I like that he and I put a lot of thought into our work. In the end, enjoying the experience and having some fun is a large part of what makes modeling worthwhile.

GlamModelz Magazine: If you had one thing to tell a model just entering the industry what would that be? Kayla Marie: It takes a lot of hard work to be successful as a model. You have to practice and take care of yourself. Practicing means working on your poses and facial expressions. That doesn’t just happen it takes time and effort to be good at both things. Some models may have some natural talent, but all of us have to develop our talents. Just as important as the outside is your inside. You have to have goals and really shoot for the stars. You also have to not lose touch with the real you. Don’t let success go your head and change the person you’ve always been. Learning to have real confidence in your skills and your beauty, believing in yourself and letting that shine through separates great models from good or average models.

GlamModelz Magazine: Tell us the funniest story that has personally happened to you on a runway or photoshoot: Kayla Marie: Chrissy Scobi and I were at a beach shoot with Rick at Plum Island. We were running around topless after doing some implieds when we noticed a random fisherman just checking us out. Then he started trying to talk to us. It was pretty awkward, but also really funny. Here he was expecting to catch a few fish, but an instead got an eyeful of a couple of naked girls running around the beach.

GlamModelz Magazine: When reviewing photographers online portfolio’s, what grabs your attention? What type of images gets you in the mood to shoot with them? Kayla Marie: I am most impressed with a photographer who is diverse and has mastered a lot of styles. I also like to see that photographers have a strong grasp of lighting and editing. I want to look my best. If their lighting isn’t impressive or they don’t seem to know how to edit, I know the pictures won’t take my portfolio in a direction that I want. That is what inspires me about a photographer. I want them to be able to give me something I might be missing.

GlamModelz Magazine: Have you had the support of family, friends and significant other in regards to your decisions for your modeling career to date? How do you handle negative feelings from those intimidated with your success? Kayla Marie: Overall, my friends have been very supportive and they encourage me to try new things and push myself. That helps a lot to have that caring at your back. My family hasn’t been as consistently supportive of my modeling efforts. That isn’t always easy as you want your family to back you at all times. As for dealing with negative comments, I just try to laugh them off and remember that jealousy is as ugly a trait as there is. It was pretty amazing to me to see how quickly people’s attitudes seemed to change the minute I went from just being “Kayla” to “a model”. I didn’t change, but their perceptions of me sure did. I just try to remind myself that small-minded behavior isn’t something I want to be connected to.

GlamModelz Magazine: Facial expressions and body langue are sometimes the hardest part of a successful photo session, how and where did you learn this and do you have any special routines or rituals you go through when you are preparing for a photoshoot??  Kayla Marie: As I had mentioned before, practice is really key to modeling success. Facial expressions take twice the amount of work that posing does. What also helps is really learning to take direction from photographers and then committing to memory all that you learn. Every photographer is different and you can learn a lot from most. However, not all photographers give direction. Without direction, I really don’t know if I am really hitting things right and I don’t learn as much. As for rituals, I really don’t have any. I just like to go to the shoot, be friendly and professional, business-like and work hard.

GlamModelz Magazine: Do you have any hobbies or special interests that you feel contribute to your success in modeling and why do you feel they are a contributing to achieve your goals? Kayla Marie: I have always been obsessed with fashion; whether it’s clothes, shoes, jewelry, hair or accessories. My love of fashion is one of the things that helps me be a successful model. I try to bring individuality to shoots as well as creativity. I like my outfits to be a reflection of my tastes and be fun, flirty, cute, sexy and stylish. I don’t want to be known as a model who can only do one look, or only has one style. I like to be good at as many different looks as possible. I also use to be a go-go dancer, and that kept me fit. Now, although my exercise regimen is a little less intense, I have gotten excited about better choices when it comes to healthy eating. I’m thinking about the future a lot and how to still be a healthy person as I get older.

GlamModelz Magazine: We all know the expression “grin and bare it” originated on the runway. What was your most embarrassing moment and how did you over come your misfortune?  Kayla Marie: At an April 2010 Fashion Shoot at Rick’s studio, the designer had some pretty interesting clothes, BUT there were some swimwear styles just were not flattering on my rather slender figure. I felt pretty uncomfortable so I really had to grit my teeth and “bare it”. In this industry, you don’t always get 100% control over outfits, concepts and themes, and you have to just hope that the end product looks good. Fortunately, that was the case this time.

GlamModelz Magazine: Do you have any thoughts or advice you would like to pass along to photographers? In you mind what makes a spectacular shot?   Kayla Marie: Just as models have to study a photographer to know she wants to work with him, photographers should really get a sense of the strengths of a model and play to those strengths. Whether it is a question of her eyes, figure, hair, skin tone or whatever makes her beautiful, a model wants to look her best and the photographer has to really see the model inside and out by studying her pictures and getting a clear idea of what will work and what won’t. I’ve been asked to put on some pretty awful outfits, accessories and use some foolish props. I know I didn’t look my best in the pose and expression because I just didn’t feel very good. One of the reasons Rick and I work well together is he wants me to provide the general starting concept. From there, he refines it and is turns out to be a pretty happy bit of teamwork.

GlamModelz Magazine: Which website do you feel is best for getting your name out there? Where to you receive the most response? Which site(s) do you feel are the worst and why?   Kayla Marie: Despite its weaknesses, Facebook tends to be a better place to meet photographers and network with other industry people. Folk seem to be a bit more real, you can really look inside their lives and get a slightly better idea of who they are. There seem to be a few less creeps on FB as opposed to some of the other sites. Sadly, there are always jerks and creeps out there. One of the life skills a model learns is to be better at screening those wastes of time. The other life skill is to have a photographer or 3 that you trust to help you make some good decisions, just as if they are smart, they listen to your views on subjects about this industry. That kind of give and take is how great partnerships are made.

GlamModelz Magazine: How did you get your start in the business Chrissy Victoria, and what goals have your set for your self?  Chrissy Victoria: I have always been interested in the modeling and photography industry. I was the girl that collected swimwear magazines and Victoria’s Secret catalogs and would scour through them for hours, but I had never even considered the idea of getting involved myself. That is until one day I was working at a sandwich restaurant in my hometown when I was 17 years old. This small group of people that worked for our local TV station would come in every Friday to eat and have their weekly meeting, and in that group was Rick Trottier. I recognized Rick from my much younger years as my fifth grade teacher, and I was like “Hi how have you been!” And he just looked perplexed. I had to re-introduce myself; I had grown up so much since then that he had no idea who I was! In elementary school I was the timid glasses and braces type with a short haircut, and as the years went by I’d grown my hair out very long, gotten contacts, and taken a liking to wearing makeup. The next day Rick came back in with a letter for me proposing that I do a photoshoot for the promotional tee shirts for his TV station, and of course I jumped at the opportunity. I loved every second of that first shoot, and the rest is history! I am so passionate about modeling and I’m so lucky to get to work with the amazing people I do, and my goals remain to keep improving my technique and be happy and comfortable with myself no matter what.

GlamModelz Magazine: What are your goals personally and with your modeling career?  Chrissy Victoria: I want to remain true to myself above all, but I truly hope that my positive attitude and hard work are noticed and take me far so that I can be a role model to other people who want to follow the same path. Modeling is an outlet for me to escape from the daily grind of school and work; I’m immediately relaxed and bubblier than ever as soon as I set foot in the studio and I want that passion to show in every image!

GlamModelz Magazine: When working on concepts for upcoming shoots, how much thought or effort do you put into it? Where does your inspiration come from?  Chrissy Victoria: When I have a shoot coming up its on my mind all day. I’ll find myself dreaming up creative poses and thinking of ways to make the concept even more intriguing while I’m running errands or when I wake up and I’m getting ready for the day. Then as soon as I have a spare minute I’m practicing them in the mirror, haha! My greatest inspiration for all this practice has always been the Victoria’s Secret models. I still have most of the catalogs that I used to collect, and I have the last couple Annual Fashion Shows recorded. They are always so happy and wholesome in their interviews, they never look like they’re faking their happiness and they’re totally genuine in the love for what they do. But then they get on the runway or in front of the camera for catalog work and each model has a variety of looks from fierce and sexy to relaxed, kicked back, and dreamy. I think the ability to switch up your looks and expressions as a model is one of the most valuable talents you can have; modeling is an art!

GlamModelz Magazine: What would you like to see change in the industry from a model’s standpoint? Chrissy Victoria: One of the most well-known issues I’ve heard about with the industry is one that I also stand against fully: the “standard” body image that is often created. Not every woman is built 5’11” with a slight pear shape and muscles cut out of stone. I, personally, am NOT that woman that can eat whatever she wants but never gain more than an extra pound or two; I work very hard for the physique I have. The general message many people seem to get from the industry is that you are supposed to be thin. For me it’s not at all about being thin, it’s about being healthy.

GlamModelz Magazine: Do you have any thoughts or suggestions to models about wardrobe?  Such as what to have and where to find deals? Chrissy Victoria: In regards to a general day-to-day wardrobe the best suggestion I can make is to stock up on the basics and accessories! Beauty does not have to be pain, or expensive for that matter. One of my favorite outfits to wear on campus is a pair of black leggings with casual black heeled boots and layered flowy tops or sweaters with a bright or patterned scarf. What’s nice about those basic is the boots can be paired with jeans and a pretty tank top to go out. I find these basics at bargain stores like TJ Maxx or Forever 21; I could spend hours in there! I have to function on a college budget so I usually don’t make expensive purchases, but if I find a basic versatile piece with nice embellishments or neat fabric or fit I find its almost always worth it to make the one splurge

GlamModelz Magazine: Do you feel that flexibility and diversity are important to a model’s portfolio? Chrissy Victoria: Absolutely. Going back to part of my previous answer about how I get my inspiration, I place huge value on the ability to put on any emotion or persona. As I also mentioned, modeling is an art. Those models who can provide any attitude that any concept or context may call for are the ones who are going to stand out. Having said that, I also think it’s great for a model to have a “specialty”, or a signature look that she or he is great at. But it is that in combination with the skill of versatility that makes a model great instead of just good.

GlamModelz Magazine: If you had one thing to tell a model just entering the industry what would that be? Chrissy Victoria: The age old practice, practice, practice. You may feel silly making faces in the mirror, but that’s the kind of thing that helps you get to know your own facial expressions and your own body angles. The mirror shows you what your photographer will see from behind the lens.

GlamModelz Magazine: due to the current state of the economy in the U.S. have you noticed any major changes in the industry within your geographical area? Chrissy Victoria: I’ve noticed the industry has definitely slowed down. I often model in  more concentrated areas in Worcester and Boston, MA and that keeps me near some of the hearts of the industry, but in general I feel like the true hype is suppressed because of the hard times. But I see it as an opportunity to better myself and prepare for the climb back up!

GlamModelz Magazine: Tell us the funniest story that has personally happened to you on a runway or photoshoot: Chrissy Victoria: In one of my shoots at Light Works Studio Rick Trottier and I did a set in which I had to wear these sky-high stilettos. I had shot in them a few times before so by now I was strutting about in them like a champ. We had another model on the shoot with us that day and she had to wear the heels too, and she was wondering how in the world she was supposed to walk in them. Rick was telling her that I was a true veteran of the heels and he was like “watch her walk around in them to get an idea of the technique”. Of course the second I walked around the corner I felt my ankle give out from under me. I had broken an ankle a few years before and I was thinking “no WAY is that happening” as I started to go down, so I threw myself backwards and landed straight on my butt, legs out in front of me. How ironic…

GlamModelz Magazine:  The Modeling reality TV shows have created quite an interest in modeling these days. Can you offer any advice for those interested in getting their big brake? Any Tips for models wishing to do it sooner rather then later? Chrissy Victoria:  You have to be committed. That doesn’t mean you have to just want it badly enough, it means you have to be willing to spend time working out, and take whole weekends off to shoot and gain experience. You also have to be a people person! That is what the industry is all about, especially the reality shows, so one of the best things you can do is have a positive attitude; it shows that you’re happy to be doing what you’re doing and it creates a great environment. You also must be patient. Big brakes don’t happen overnight, you have to work hard and prove yourself.

GlamModelz Magazine: I have noticed you spend a great deal of time maintaining your portfolio on ModelMayhem. Do you feel this is an important factor to your success as a model? Chrissy Victoria:  Absolutely, maintaining all of your portfolios and online blogs are important factors to success: it shows that you’re dedicated and, more importantly, you’re promoting yourself. You’re able to showcase your strongest images, post updates and accomplishments, and interact with people! Model Mayhem and Facebook are some of your best tools

GlamModelz Magazine: Chrissy Victoria:, your on-line portfolio is quite stunning and exhibits innovative styling; every single photograph is a work of art.  Do you plan the shots that you are adding to your portfolio or just shoot what ever you’re feeling at the time? Chrissy Victoria:  I love that you just said all if my photographs are works of art haha! I always think of modeling as an art, so sometimes I plan the shots that I want to add to my portfolio and other times its just what I’m feeling at the time. Oftentimes Rick and I will go through my portfolio and think about what kinds of things would make this portfolio as complete and diverse as possible. But what usually happens is I’ll come up with a new concept and be thinking, “I NEED that for my portfolio!” So I guess you say it’s a little bit of both!

GlamModelz Magazine: When reviewing photographers online portfolio’s, what grabs your attention? What type of images gets you in the mood to shoot with them? Chrissy Victoria:  When I see beautiful or creative lighting its sparks my curiosity immediately. It shows that a photographer can take photos in a wide variety of places, and I also think that the lighting of a photo can make or break it. There could be a talented model doing a great pose in the pool of a waterfall in the woods, but if the lighting is washed out and dull it doesn’t do any justice to the subjects of the photo. On the other hand, if you caught the sunlight reflecting off the water onto your model and the beams of light coming through the trees, now that’s a beautiful thing!

GlamModelz Magazine: Have you had the support of family, friends and significant other in regards to your decisions for your modeling career to date? How do you handle negative feelings from those intimidated with your success? Chrissy Victoria:  When I first started modeling I got a lot of negative feedback from my peers. I live in a really small, rural town and nobody around there had ever done anything like this, so it surprised a lot of people, I think. It’s not a good feeling to have people judge you negatively and say bad things about you, but I liked what I was doing so there really was no choice but to ignore it. Eventually it died down and as time has gone by people have started to really support me and I’m very grateful for it. One of the things that made it easier to get through the hard parts was the support of my parents. Of course at first they were worried, but since it’s become such an important part of my life they’ve been really great about it. My mom is always commenting on my new pictures, it’s something that really makes me happy because family is important.

GlamModelz Magazine: Facial expressions and body language are sometimes the hardest part of a successful photo session, how and where did you learn this and do you have any special routines or rituals you go through when you are preparing for a photoshoot??  Chrissy Victoria: Practice! I find inspiration in successful models like in Sports Illustrated Swimwear or Maxim Magazine, and I’ll strive to replicate their poses or facial expressions. What has always helped is to shoot whatever look I’d been practicing and then get feedback from my photographer. He would show me the last few frames we’d shot and if it wasn’t what I was trying for I’d tweak it until we got it right. To prepare I take my time getting ready, it’s a very zen like thing for me!

GlamModelz Magazine: How did you get your start in the business  ListaMarie, and what goals have your set for your self? ListaMarie: How I got started in the Business of the modeling industry was I got most athletic female in High school. for being the most athletic female they chose myself and 2 other females to be on the front cover of Las Vegas Athletic Club fitness magazine. My current goal is to hopefully be signed by a well known agency within 5 years

GlamModelz Magazine: What are your goals personally and with your modeling career? ListaMarie: My goals personally is to Retire in the military in 18 years and also maintain my modeling career. I’m currently serving in Afghanistan right now So it’s hard to take the time off but When I do come back I always try to make up the time I was gone. I continue to study the newest fashion and runway projects so I’m that far behind.

 GlamModelz Magazine: When working on concepts for upcoming shoots, how much thought or effort do you put into it? Where does your inspiration come from?  ListaMarie : When I thinking of concepts for an upcoming shoot I put as much effort as I can into. I do some research on what it is I am trying to fulfill and then I ALWAYS discuss it with the photographer to see if they see anything that I don’t or if they can add something I may like for he shoot. It takes about a good 2 weeks in preparation.

GlamModelz Magazine: What are your thoughts and issues with implied and nude posing? ListaMarie : My personal thoughts on doing implied and nude shots are absolutely Amazing. I Love how human’s can form their bodies into beautiful art. It’s not all about being sexual or trying to be explicit but its being comfortable with your own body and creating these wonderful images of art, a form of expression. Everyone tends to think of it as a negative way but we should all be a little more optimistic and take it as beauty. Whats more beautiful than yourself..

 GlamModelz Magazine: What gets you motivated everyday to stay in shape and look your best at all times?  ListaMarie : What makes me motivated to stay in shape and look my best at all times is myself, and my surroundings. I love to workout and be in the best shape i could possibly be if not better. There’s always room for improvement. I look at magazines and I’ll see another woman’s body and be in awe because I know it takes hard work and dedication to stay in shape. My main motivation is Self discipline, I always want to be better than I was.

GlamModelz Magazine: Have you had the support of family, friends and significant other in regards to your decisions for your modeling career to date? ListaMarie : Thankfully I have had lots of support from my family, friends, and loved ones. When they see me enjoying something that im very passionate for it makes them happy to know that not only is it for fun and pleasure but it’s also for potential work. They see me working hard and always trying to do my best and it shows in each photo shoot i have it just gets better and better. Without support from the people I Love I wouldn’t have made it this far.

GlamModelz Magazine: What are your thoughts on the whole escort issue? ListaMarie : My thoughts on the whole escort issue is that it shouldn’t be an issue. For some people it makes them feel more comfortable but for some others it makes them shy and nervous. I use an escort for security purposes it makes me feel safe and  as long as their not distracting your session i don’t see a problem with the whole escort issue.

GlamModelz Magazine: Your complexion always looks so flawless. Will you share your beauty secrets you use to keep it that way? ListaMarie : My secret key to having flawless skin is making sure i wash my face everyday when i wake up and when i go to sleep. And I wash it with Ambi products as well as a nice moisturizer to keep my face soft and smooth. Try not to wear make up often because it tends to clog up your pores. Natural beauty is always the best way to go.

GlamModelz Magazine: What has been your greatest success to date? ListaMarie : My greatest success that I recently had was getting published in Flavagirl magazine. I had just got stationed in Ft.Bragg, NC and I worked with a photographer and we shot for 5 hours nearly. And i was sooo tired and so sweaty but we kept pushing through with oh just one more pose then okay 2 more poses and so on and so on. But the hard work paid off because i got published in the October issue.

GlamModelz Magazine: How do you handle rejection from photographers, agencies and your piers? ListaMarie: How I handle rejection is to suck it up and keep pushing. It hurts a little bit knowing that you wanted something and just couldn’t get it. It’s human nature to feel a little upset, but it is also human nature to work even harder for what you wanted. No one can tell you that you can’t do it. Hard work pays off and it should make you that much stronger that you got a better position and they lost out on a great Thing!

GlamModelz Magazine: How did you get your start in the business? Britteny Fayth Secrest; I started modeling a year and a half ago on Modelmayhem. I’ve been wanting to model since I was 13 or even younger and never really had the drive. I heard about Model Mayhem through a friend, who was on the site as well. I have recieved a lot of work through it and I love it. Modeling has changed my life and been so good to me. I needed to build confidence in the beginning and now I have it! Thanks to all the great photographers THAT BELIEVED IN ME. Thanks to them I do much better with my modeling today.

GlamModelz Magazine: What are your goals personally and with your modeling career? Britteny Fayth Secrest; I’ve always wanted to be a homicide detective and want go to college to get my degree, but at the moment I want to see how far I can go in modeling and see how successful I can become. I’ve never really believed I could achieve anything in modeling because I’m not the tallest person or the best build for it. This has proven wrong to me. Modeling is not easy and I knew that to begin with, so I just decided to work harder.  Some people have their preconceived ideas about me, I may not talk a lot, but I’m a good model and never late, ever. I love it so much!!

I am always totally prepared before I walk in to shoot. I am very proactive and communicate with my photographer’s before the shoot. I love it when we bounce ideas off each other. I am a positive person and will be happy to prove all the people who said, “She cannot do this”. What an honor that was for me to hear from my classmates.

GlamModelz Magazine: When working on concepts for upcoming shoots, how much thought or effort do you put into it? Where does your inspiration come from? Britteny Fayth Secrest: When I plan for a shoot, I am a fanatic about where, when and what.  I make sure I know the photographer, the address, what I need to bring and what time I need to be there. I really motivate myself to be my best at everything I do, especially modeling! I don’t take what people say so seriously either. They bring you down or they make you big headed, but they’ll make me do neither. I’m my own person and I do everything to my fullest potential.

GlamModelz Magazine: What are your thoughts and issues with implied and nude posing? Britteny Fayth Secrest; I think implied can be very elegant and beautiful, and some can be nasty and inappropriate. I do not pose nude, it’s not because I’m embarrassed of my body, it’s just not for me. If you photograph nudes, then make it art and classy.

GlamModelz Magazine: Have you had the support of family, friends and significant other in regards to your decisions for your modeling career to date? Britteny Fayth Secrest; I have the support of everyone I know. They think I’m great at modeling and can go far in my career. It is always easier if you have your family’s support. My Nana is my biggest fan she makes sure I’m safe and have everything I need. I appreciate her so much and she is so supportive of whatever I do, so is my Mom. My Papa is a great fan as well. You can’t be good if you don’t have the support around you.

GlamModelz Magazine: What are your thoughts on the whole escort issue? Britteny Fayth Secrest; I think it is smart to take some with you if you are not sure and I started at six teen. On Model Mayhem they said, I had to bring someone, it’s CA. state law. Looking back I believe they were so right, this was great advice. Anyone can pick up a camera and say they are a photographer. Do your homework!!! Before you go ask people that have shoot with them and then you will get your answers. Also it is a safety issue and believe me, it will be worth it until you know your way around.

GlamModelz Magazine: What would you like to see change in the industry from a model’s standpoint? Britteny Fayth Secrest; From a models stand point of changes, I would like to see all photographers act professional and do what they say and say what they mean. I have had my share of bad experiences, not many, but a few.  Now I speak my mind and they know me now too.

GlamModelz Magazine: What gets you motivated everyday to stay in shape and look your best at all times? Britteny Fayth Secrest; I honestly don’t get up every day and get all dolled up. I do however try to look my best ever day.  You never know who might run into I do like to stay in shape, although sometimes  it’s hard not to be the skinniest model in the room. That’s OK too,  just remember working out is important in this business. It makes you look like you serious about your modeling and it makes you feel great.

GlamModelz Magazine: How do you handle the inappropriate offers and sometimes rude individuals when they contact you for a session together? Britteny Fayth Secrest I usually politely say no, and move on. I don’t tolerate rude or inappropriate people, if someone is rude, I leave. I don’t get disrespectful I just walk away.

GlamModelz Magazine: Your thoughts on TFP or TFCD sessions in general? Britteny Fayth Secrest; I think it great because it helps you get your portfolio built up. That’s a great way to start out and learn how to pose, your best angels and also expressions. Your face is the money maker in this business. Experiences makes you look better, the more you shoot, the more comfortable you’ll become.  Getting to work, with all kinds of different, photographers and knowing which ones are good and or bad, doesn’t hurt you either

GlamModelz Magazine: Do you have any thoughts or suggestions to models about wardrobe? Such as what to have and where to find deals? Britteny Fayth Secrest; Wardrobe is a big thing, because when you start out they don’t supply the clothing. OH Wow that’s a tough one… I bought some  outfits and taken them back, but that’s wrong thing to do. I borrow outfits from friends and sometimes I or my Nana make them.  Consignment stores are a great resource also.

GlamModelz Magazine: What excited you the most when you first started modeling? Britteny Fayth Secrest; When I saw my pictures for the first time, was very exciting. To see all your hard work come to life. So when the pictures come out really well, it is the best feeling ever!

GlamModelz Magazine: Facial expressions are a big part of a photo session, how and where did you learn this? Britteny Fayth Secrest; I learned how to do facial expressions from Americas Top Model, from photographers, and by practicing in the mirror. I practices a lot….  If you see how your face, looks like in front of a mirror, you can see what you are doing right or what you are doing wrong. Like your lips can look bigger if you open them a little and your eyes play a big part of the big picture,  It is like all your feeling can be in your eyes. Weather you need to be sexy, happy, or sad, it’s all in the eyes.

GlamModelz Magazine: Do you feel that flexibility and diversity are important to a model’s portfolio? Britteny Fayth Secrest; Oh yes, and it can show the viewers that you are experienced or just starting out. It can show if you have the versatility to the photographer and whoever is looking at your pictures. If  a model can show several different looks, you’ll get better jobs and also become known for it?

GlamModelz Magazine: How do you handle rejection from photographers, agencies and your piers? Britteny Fayth Secrest; I don’t like it but it is part of this business. You have to get used to it and deal with it can make you better in how you handle it. No bodies like rejection, but that’s the way it is. If you are not right for the part then you know it’s not something you did wrong. It is just not what their looking for at that time. So you keep pushing on, impel as that try not to think of the negatives but the positive. It never gets easier, but it is how you handle the moment.

GlamModelz Magazine: How do you handle imperfections? How important do you feel professional make up is to a model? Britteny Fayth Secrest; Well for me I try not to think about it and embrace it, after all it is who I ‘am. Great makeup, heck yah!! It is so important, it can make you look so beautiful, different, and young or older. It can make you or break you. The makeup artists never get enough attention for all they do. Without them we would never be as beautiful as we are. Every model is beautiful in his or her own way. Everyone deals with their own imperfection in their own ways.

GlamModelz Magazine: If you had one thing to tell a model just entering the industry what would that be? Britteny Fayth Secrest; I would tell them to never give up and be the best you can be. If it’s your dream go for it. For me it is, so I would say, never give up, ever.

GlamModelz Magazine: Due to the current state of the economy in the U.S. have you noticed any major changes in the industry within your geographical area? Britteny Fayth Secrest; Oh. yes as far as gas, I feel it the most and there used to be more jobs for us in my area and I see it every time I look for jobs, I see less and less paid jobs.

GlamModelz Magazine: Tell us the funniest story that has personally happened to you on a runway or photo-shoot: Britteny Fayth Secrest; at one of my runway shows my heel got snagged on my dress and I tried to play it off, but I had to pull the cloths off my heel in the middle of the runway. I was upset then later I had to laugh and say that’s part of the business, it happens to the best models you have to carry on.

GlamModelz Magazine: We have noticed you seam to be branching out into other areas in your modeling. Do you have a style or category you really enjoy shooting? Britteny Fayth Secrest; I love doing the 50’s style and pinup, but Glamour with an edge is my favorite. I do like all kinds of styles and all the new things out there. You need to be very versatile in this business.

GlamModelz Magazine: Your complexion always looks so flawless. Will you share your beauty secrets you use to keep it that way? Britteny Fayth Secrest; I wash my face every night and use moisturizer every night. I wear sun glasses for wrinkles and stay out of the sun. That’s is my best way of fighting age and keeping my face clean and flawless. Take care of it now and it will pay off later.

GlamModelz Magazine: The Modeling reality TV shows have created quite an interest in modeling these days. Can you offer any advice for those interested in getting their big brake? Any Tips for models wishing to do it sooner rather then later? Britteny Fayth Secrest; Well to each their own and I feel I’m one who goes after what I want, so it is how bad you want it. I say you go girl (or guy). This industry is funny, the younger you are the more they like you, but it can be so unkind too. So now is your time. It is never easy to say when and where, if you want do it. Go for it!!! A little secret I love the House Wife’s of OC.

GlamModelz Magazine: I have noticed you spend a great deal of time maintaining your portfolio on ModelMayhem. Do you feel this is an important factor to your success as a model? Britteny Fayth Secrest; No and yes, I feel yes it can, if the right person comes along and noticed you. No if you think you are going to be discovered there. Not saying it can’t happen, I heard it has, but you have to network all the time and your picture are who you are as a model. Keep working on, it all the time and keep getting to know your photographers they can help you more than you know.

GlamModelz Magazine: your on-line portfolio is quite stunning and exhibits innovative styling; every single photograph is a work of art. Do you plan the shots that you are adding to your portfolio or just shoot what ever you’re feeling at the time? Britteny Fayth Secrest; No, we are always working on different shoot. Like I said get to know your photographer and work with him or her. They know what you need better than you do most of the time. I like to keep new and fresh new things in my portfolio at all times.

GlamModelz Magazine: Nude modeling is a difficult decision for most models to make as a career choice, what lead you to make that decision? Do you have any regrets about your decision? Britteny Fayth Secrest; I don’t know about other models, but for me, it’s not for me at this time. If that’s what you want then great, I am not here to judge them, in fact some are done very tasteful. I however I am just not ready to this at time. I just turned 18 years old and that is too young to do that in my life right now.

GlamModelz Magazine: When reviewing photographer’s online portfolios, what grabs your attention? What type of images gets you in the mood to shoot with them? Britteny Fayth Secrest; I love to see pictures that are of all different types. What grabs me is there originality and how they excite the images. How many comments they have? I get excited to see how well they are with their models. If they have comments on the profile, that’s a winner for me. It is important, the models like and love having fun with them. Oh and being a real professional.

GlamModelz Magazine: It appears to us that most eye candy magazines are fixated on some part of the female anatomy. Tell us what do you think your best assets are? Britteny Fayth Secrest; Oh well that’s easy my eyes. Yah my boobs are real and too big for the fashion industry, but if  Tyra Banks can do it so can I.

Saint Patrick is said to have used the shamrock, a three-leaved plant, to explain the Holy Trinity to the pagan Irish, and the wearing and display of shamrocks and shamrock-inspired designs have become a ubiquitous feature of the day. In the 1798 rebellion, to make a political statement, Irish soldiers wore full green uniforms on 17 March in hopes of catching public attention. The phrase “the wearing of the green”, meaning to wear a shamrock on one’s clothing, derives from a song of the same name.

GlamModelz Magazine: What are your thoughts and issues with implied and nude posing? MS Esme Lopez: I think it’s sexy and our body is art. If you feel comfortable showing extra skin then do it…as for me, I love implied poses and won’t do all nude….

GlamModelz Magazine: What gets you motivated everyday to stay in shape and look your best at all times? Ms Esme Lopez:  Looking at old pictures! When people compliment you on how great you look it makes you want to keep going to the gym and maintaining yourself healthy (I know I do). Besides being fit is the new SEXY and you MUST bring SEXY to a shoot.

GlamModelz Magazine: How do you handle the inappropriate offers and sometimes rude individuals when they contact you for a session together? Ms Esme Lopez: Since I’m new to modeling, I like to ask someone who is more experience so they can help me direct me in the right path when it comes to certain offers…. if you approach me in an unprofessional way then forget it (we aren’t shooting)… I’m not hungry to be behind any unprofessional camera! I like to work with individuals who I feel comfortable and I know that will benefit me as well as benefiting them.
GlamModelz Magazine: It appears to us that most eye candy magazines are fixated on some part of the female anatomy. Tell us what do you think your best assets are? Ms Esme Lopez: Well I would have to say my booty (a 360 turn), legs and eyes. I’m curvy and love it! Whether I gain or lose weight my curves are here to stay.

GlamModelz Magazine: Have you had the support of family, friends and significant other in regards to your decisions for your modeling career to date? How do you handle negative feelings from those intimidated with your success? Ms Esme Lopez: YES. I’m very lucky to have a very supporting family and awesome friends who cheer me on with my decision in modeling….and for the negativity from other individuals, well I don’t let them get the best of me, so far all the other models have been very nice and very helpful.

GlamModelz Magazine: How do your friends and family feel about your modeling? and how do you handle any negative feelings, especially for other women?   Ms Esme Lopez: They Love it!!! In the beginning we can say my mother was a lil’ concerned…coming from a Mexican background, our culture tends to be a little more conservative, not too much myself (laughs), but overall they love it! In life we learn that not everyone is going to like you and there will be those females who will be jealous, make negative comments, and try to break you…..but it actually makes me want to succeed even more and try harder.

GlamModelz Magazine: Do you feel other women are intimidated when learning you are a model and how do you handle this? Ms Esme Lopez: I do feel/hear this and I think it’s sad. I’m not the type of female to be jealous of others, I’m very confident about myself and have an aggressive but positive attitude and jealousy just shows insecurity in a person.  But for the most part I feel that girls look up to me and tell me I’m their motivation to hit the gym.

GlamModelz Magazine: Facial expressions and body langue are sometimes the hardest part of a successful photo session, how and where did you learn this and do you have any special routines or rituals you go through when you are preparing for a photoshoot?  Ms Esme Lopez: I’m a very expressive person especially with my eyes and lips…(winks) Ever since I was a young girl my sister said that I flirt with boys just by looking at them and smiling (laughs), I don’t remember where I learned this or if I was just born with it (laughs)….but facial expressions are the hardest part for a shoot. In order to get the right expressions I say the best way is to practice in the mirror! Mirror is your new best friend.

GlamModelz Magazine: When working on concepts for upcoming shoots, how much thought or effort do you put into it? Where does your inspiration come from?  Ms Esme Lopez:

. Oh man…I live at the gym! I like looking my best so I put in a lot of effort both mental and physical. I dedicate myself to a lot of gym time (get it right, get it tight), and focus on the outfits that I will be modeling in, I also think of any other creative ideas and start practicing the expressions and poses, a lot of my inspiration come from that urban look (mag, music videos, and other hot models).  I think is sexy and fits my personality just right.

GlamModelz Magazine: OK Esme, we know its not “all work and no play” Tell us the funniest story that you experienced on a runway or photo shoot: Ms Esme Lopez: lol. Well I went to my friends photo shoot and enjoyed it so much with the implies and was very excited, then Photographer SAM RAMBO asked me if I wanted to do a couple shots (unprepared and first time doing a shoot) I said “uugg what the heck” YES!  I went into the changing room, came out ready for implied pics (laughs) I know many models work their way up for implied pics BUT NOT ME lol I was happy to take it off and let the fun begin (winks)!

GlamModelz Magazine: How did you get your start in the business Hannah, and what goals have your set for your self? Elle Mae: I got started back in high school with a talent agency; I made great money doing commercials that aired nation-wide, public campaigns for Washington and Idaho, and being featured in web episodes both as an extra and as featured character. What started out as a photo shoot to gain new headshots for my agency I stumbled upon commercial modeling. With a little extra encouragement, advice, and confidence I got my foot into the door of modeling. I starting out with swim wear and fashion and later experimented with glamour and more recently implied nude. My goals have always been to challenge myself, I like to think outside the box and create images that aren’t always the same. My background as an actress has helped me immensely with facial expressions and posing; as modeling is quite similar to acting.
GlamModelz Magazine: Posing 101, any suggestions to newer models coming into the business? Elle Mae: PRACTICE! As silly as it seems practice in front of the mirror, study other images and models as well. Learn what flatters your body style, what angles work and don’t work, know how to change subtle things; your eyes, your smile, or your feet. Always throw a curve somewhere, if you can make more than one curve the better. Know your audience for the pose you’re intending to create; this will determine if you should do shots straight on or at an angle. If men are your audience straight on shots seems to indulge that, if woman are your audience for maybe a more high fashion shot put your body at an angle. Simply put sometimes the most awkward feeling pose, looks the best on camera!

GlamModelz Magazine: What has been your greatest success to date?  Elle Mae: Last winter when Sam Rambo and I won Holiday Hotties for a fun holiday concept we had shot, to see Maxim.com pasted on your photo was a great feeling. Recently Sam Rambo and I also won Pic Of The Day on ModelMayhem.com-another great moment. Sam and I sure can create some awesome photos.

GlamModelz Magazine: What are your thoughts and issues with implied and nude posing? Elle Mae: If you would have asked me this question years ago when I first started I wouldn’t have had anything positive or inspiring to say, however as my modeling has progressed I have learned to love the female body. If an implied shot is done right and tasteful it can be the most amazing shot in an entire portfolio. If you’ve got it-flaunt it! Good lighting and a great photographer would help also thoughJ As a model you learn to love angles and curves and the female body is a canvas full of those, so why not highlight them?

GlamModelz Magazine: What gets you motivated everyday to stay in shape and look your best at all times? Elle Mae: Staying in shape has always been a personal choice for me and besides I spent nearly five years obtaining a degree from a university in just that; bachelors of science in community health. Eating healthy and working out is not something I have ever had to convince myself to do. As a mother though and working two jobs finding the time to do so is very limited. I have what I call “mommy’s home gym” at home and spend a lot of time doing body resistance exercises from home and am able to get cardio in at the gym at one of my employers. Looking your best comes from confidence more than anything, if you carry yourself that way you need not find motivation to look good.

GlamModelz Magazine: What excited you the most when you first started modeling? Elle Mae: Just experimenting!! Trying new things, seeing what you like and what you don’t. It is always exciting for you’re not always creating the same images. The excitement never dies.

GlamModelz Magazine: Facial expressions are a big part of a photo session, how and where did you learn this?? Elle Mae: I would say my prior experience in a talent agency for acting helps a great deal with this. When I’d audition for parts the casting director would ask me to read a script, then they’d ask me to change my facial expressions, voice, accent, demeanor each time I read it. This is always what you’re doing when you’re modeling; creating a new character in each pose or outfit.

GlamModelz Magazine: Do you feel that flexibility and diversity are important to a model’s portfolio? Elle Mae: YES! You have to be willing to take a risk, what do you have to lose? You may create a bad image and you’ll learn from it or you may create a killer photo that people talk about for years to come. You have to be willing to be flexible and always show diversity in your portfolio-challenge yourself.

GlamModelz Magazine: How do you handle imperfections? How important do you feel professional make up is to a model? Elle Mae: Imperfections? Do those really exist? No one person is the same and our differences make us all unique. I’ve used professional make up in both modeling shoots and always on film for acting, it’s simply an enhancement on film/camera that brings out your facial features, nothing is wrong with it. However, I don’t think us as models should feel like make up covers up our “imperfections”, use make up as an enhancement not a cover up.

GlamModelz Magazine: When reviewing photographer’s online portfolio, what really grabs your attention? What type of images gets you in the mood to shoot with them and what separates the great photographers in your mind?  Elle Mae: When I am looking through a photographer’s portfolio I look at lighting, concept, finishing touches, variety and detail. You want a photographer that has a wide range of photos, someone that pays attention to little details, has an eye for creative concepts, and a finishing touch to give it that final flawless look is a plus. Great photographers for me are separated by their personality, I most enjoy working with someone that can lighten the mood, laugh, joke, and be professional all at the same time. Sound hard? It’s not-and it truly creates the best environment. A photographer that goes the extra mile to make sure you are both happy with the images is important also.

The holidays are a time of year that one may look forward to with great anticipation and excitement. And some may hope to hold their breath until the memories of this time of year pass. But whether you look forward to the holidays as a way to remember the feelings you had from childhood or wish to give another that same feeling through benevolence; may we all view this time as an opportunity to reflect upon the meaning of the holidays, and why they are important and special.

Why Celebrate

Through soul searching, I’m certain we would all agree, the holidays aren’t about presents (whether we give or receive them) or Santa Claus. They aren’t meant only for children. They aren’t about seeing the family and enjoying a wonderful family dinner. They aren’t just for Christians or Jews or African-Americans or people who believe in the celebration of a special date in their religious history. And yes, dare me to say it…They aren’t just about watching football, either.

The holidays offer us a chance to find something spiritual and beautiful about life, your surroundings and the people you love who make your life special. We may give thanks or show appreciation through gift-giving and break records on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but let’s not forget to be thankful for life, health and our days filled with people that really love us – as well as fond memories of those we have loved and lost.

Finding Value
When is the last time you took a good look at your life and what you value? Beginning with your friends, your loved ones, your family: What and Who adds value to your life… and how?

I’ll give you a moment…really ask yourself that question. Now write them down. Then commit each one to memory in your heart. Be sure to take them with you everywhere you go. And share with those who need to know how much they mean to you…and why.

LIVING life is a choice we make every single day. What we value or don’t value, is also of our own choosing.

This holiday season, amongst all the celebrations, songs, parties and games; take a moment to celebrate you and those you love. There is a secret to enjoying the season, and it’s very simple. GlamModelz Magazine: What did you see as your strongest attribute prior to getting in front of the lens of a professional photographer for the first time, and did that change after your first shoot? Ruby: I saw my strongest attribute as confidence and enthusiasm, which greatly contributed to the success of my first shoot with a professional photographer.

GlamModelz Magazine: Are you the same person in front of the lens as you are in real life? Tell us how you are different. Ruby: I am similar in the sense that I have a variety of personas I can portray depending on the situation but I am more subtle and casual on a day-to-day basis.

GlamModelz Magazine: What excites you about modeling and what intimidates you the most? Do you have any insecurities related to modeling, and how have you dealt with them? Ruby: The most exciting thing about modeling is the potential to help capture timeless moments. I think everybody has physical insecurities to some extent but its important to remember that we are our own worst critics and confidence comes through on film more than a small flaw.

GlamModelz Magazine: When reviewing photographers online portfolios, what grabs your attention? Do you get a lot of requests for photo shoots, and how do you handle them? Ruby: Quality, variety, and editing ability grab my attention when reviewing photographers online portfolios. I do get a lot of requests to do photoshoots but only a handful of them are legitimate. It is generally very easy to tell which ones would benefit me and which would embarrass me.

GlamModelz Magazine: Do you have any hobbies or other talents that contributes to your success in modeling? Why do you feel they are a contributing factor towards achieving your goals? Ruby: I am a Journalism major and I write in my free time as well as immerse myself in reading. I like to think of modeling as an extension of writing; telling a story or provoking thought with pictures instead of words. This outlook provides a sense of depth and meaning to a profession that many view as superficial.

GlamModelz Magazine: Facial expressions and body language are sometimes the hardest part of a successful photo session, how and where did you learn this and do you have any special routines that you go through when you are preparing for a photo shoot? Ruby: I learned facial expressions and body language through observing people in everyday surroundings and pinpointing what it was that made them attractive as well as studying fashion magazines. When preparing for a shoot I find its best not to over think it and instead focus on being comfortable and confident.

GlamModelz Magazine: How do your family and friends feel about your modeling goals? Do you share your goals with them, or keep them to your yourself? Ruby: My family and friends are supportive but I like to keep my goals to myself so I’m not influenced by others opinions.

GlamModelz Magazine: Many models tell me they study their past photo shoots looking for good/bad poses and how each pose flatters them. Would you advocate this and what key elements should a model be looking for in general? Ruby: I would advocate this but it’s important not to fixate on pictures you don’t like, just focus on what it is specifically that makes the pose unflattering so you can make a better choice next time.

GlamModelz Magazine: How do you define “success” relative to your career in modeling, and how does that relate to your broader definition for success in life? Do you have specific goals for your modeling? Ruby: I define “success” relative to my career in modeling as being part of the creation of beautiful imagery. I do not have specific goals for my modeling but I would like to continue pursuing it and see where it leads.

GlamModelz Magazine: Where do you see yourself ten years from now… professionally and personally? Ruby: I do not like to look that far into the future. I believe in living in the present moment and enjoying the journey. I would like to maintain positivity, motivation and fulfilling friendships throughout life.

GlamModelz Magazine: Congratulations on your huge win Angela, and Welcome to GlamModelz Magazine. Angela, tell us all how did you get your start in the business? Angela: Well, technically I modeled as a young toddler for a department store but my parents said that I was positively dreadful at sitting still so I gave up modeling until I could control my restless attention span.

In seriousness, I began doing small modeling jobs in college and modeling instantly became a passion of mine. I loved the creative output and artistic expression involved. However, I have to admit I was very intimidated by the demands of the industry as a whole. I didn’t want my self-worth to be dependent on my height or my weight and I felt a lot of pressure from modeling standards. My family was also very strict about wanting me to maintain my own identity and it was very important for me to earn a college degree and put myself through school. I focused my prime modeling years on obtaining my BA in Political Science and I had fantastic experiences developing myself intellectually. It was always important for me to be a strong role model to young women and I just recently, through a series of events, became able to focus more time and attention on my modeling career.

GlamModelz Magazine: What excited you the most when you first started modeling? Angela: Well, I guess I really love the feeling of beauty. I think as women we all recognize that feeling. Its a very empowering and majestic feeling and when I’m shooting I just try to bring that through to the camera.

I try to wrap beauty up in every emotion. If the photographer is shooting a dirty, grungy depressing concept; I want that to be tragically beautiful and I want to feel that emotion and show it in my eyes. Likewise, If I am doing a sexy shoot I really want to commit myself to the full gamut of what sexy is. I want to tell a story. I want my image to sing something to its audience. I always want there to be a depth and a feeling to the images I produce. I love that challenge.

GlamModelz Magazine: Have you had the support of family, friends and significant other in regards to your decisions for your modeling career to date? How do you handle negative feelings from those intimidated with your success? Angela: I’m fortunate to have the support of my friends and family. A lot of people have always tried to push me into the industry but I wanted to enter into it on my own terms. I think that now that I am older, 26, I finally feel effortlessly in control of myself. I finally feel like a woman and not just girl and I think confidence is unshakable. Of course there is negativity and cattiness, but its been trivial. For the most part I have had a tremendous amount of support.

GlamModelz Magazine: Do you feel other women are intimidated when learning you are a model and how do you handle this? Angela: At risk of sounding naive I truly don’t think that women are intimidated by me. I’m very approachable. I’m the girl that woman run up to asking directions at the train station in Paris. I get full details about potty training in the line at the grocery store. Women always ask me about clothes and style. I don’t think beauty is anything to be intimated by. I’m very much a girls-girl.

GlamModelz Magazine: Facial expressions and body language are sometimes the hardest part of a successful photo session, how and where did you learn this and do you have any special routines or rituals you go through when you are preparing for a photoshoot?? Angela: I like to really immerse myself in the concept of the shoot. I like to act it out but I usually just go with it. I really communicate my surroundings and my feelings but I don’t have any special routine. Being confident and paying attention to details are certainly crucial. Movement is so important and sometimes when shooting you’ll get this great idea to use something around you as a prop and it will just make all the difference in the world because you’ve just added another layer of interest to your image. I think overall you have to be committed and present in your shoots and the expressiveness will just come through naturally. You certainly cant be afraid to communicate.

GlamModelz Magazine: Posing is, of course, one of the biggest parts of modeling. What inspires you in the unique gracefully poses you seam to be pulling off? What advise would you offer new models to the industry? Angela: At one of my first shoots the photographer told me to create angles. I imagine I kind of clobbered about attempting to make myself a human pretzel before I just relaxed and moved naturally. Working out and taking care of your body can help so much in posing because you use little muscles all over to bend and stretch. I try to be aware of how every little piece of me is making up the image as a whole but I’m not 6ft tall so I always try to create length in my poses. I think that yields a very elegant pose.

GlamModelz Magazine: Do you promote any special charitable organizations or community services that you would like to share with our readers? How do you feel community service benefits your modeling career? Angela: There are so many great organizations out there to support but you can make a big difference by consistently doing the right thing in your daily life too. I aim to bring love to everyone I encounter and to also hold people accountable for their actions. That being said I’m personally really passionate about human rights on a global scale. I spent time working and living in Cambodia when I was in college. It was such a shock to see the type of corruption and division between the rich and the poor there. I’m very passionate about enabling and empowering people who have sometimes lost hope.

GlamModelz Magazine: OK Angela, we know its not “all work and no play” Tell us the funniest story that you experienced on a runway or photoshoot: Angela: Recently, I had a session that lasted over nine hours with various concepts and locations. We were wrapping up after a long day on location at a big vacant Victorian mansion that my boyfriend’s family owns. The house has a huge claw-foot tub that was integral to the scene and I was supposed to be acting out a breakup by eating LoMein in a bubble bath and crying. However, neither the heat nor the water worked because the mansion had just been winterized.

We turned on the spicket and all of this brown sludge came pouring out. Eventually we got the water on but it was FREEZING cold! We tried to make a million bubbles with dish soap so that the tub wouldn’t need as much cold water for coverage. It was so funny because we were all frantically swishing the water around trying to make tons of bubbles. Finally, we succeeded at making enough bubbles to cover me and I climbed into the freezing tub where I realized that we didnt have chopsticks. I think at that point we all just got really silly and I have the funniest pictures of me turning blue in this tub and just trying to eat LoMein Noodles with bubble covered fingers but the LoMein just looked like earthworms and there were bubbles everywhere!!

GlamModelz Magazine: When reviewing photographer’s online portfolio, what really grabs your attention? What type of images gets you in the mood to shoot with them and what separates the great photographers in your mind? Angela: I look for great lighting and composition. Consistency in the quality of the images is really important.

GlamModelz Magazine: Many models tell me they study their past photoshoots looking for good/bad poses and how each pose flatters them. Would you advocate this and what key elements should a model be looking for in general? Angela: I think that’s a good idea. I think you have to know your body type and what type of poses work for you. I’m still learning. Generally, good posture is paramount; aim for a long neck, tilted head, straight legs and chest out.

GlamModelz Magazine: Which website do you feel is best for getting your name out there? Where to you receive the most response? Which site(s) do you feel are the worst and why? Angela: I only have an account on ModelMayhem, but I am planning to join ModelWire and starting a Facebook Fan Page. I’ve heard bad stories about some of the other sites and there is a lot of pornographic and fetish work on those site as well. I’m not interested in that style of modeling. In general, I love promoting my work but new models should use and alias and always look up their photographers credentials. I always bring an escort with me to a shoot that I book of the site just to ensure my safety.

GlamModelz Magazine: What are your goals personally and with your modeling career? Ms Mocha: My personal goal is to be one of the most famous models in the world. A lot of models are looked up to by young women and I would like to be one of those role models. One that tells women that they can be anything they put their mind to. You can be tall, short, skinny, voluptuous and have flaws. It doesn’t matter! What matters most is what you want to do and the risks and sacrifices you’re willing to take to get there.

GlamModelz Magazine: Posing 101 any suggestions to newer models coming into the business? Ms Mocha: Oh my god, yes! Try not to focus on the pose! A lot of times when you focus too hard it will come across in your photos. As well as your facial expression won’t be where it needs to be. Modeling is not just facial expression, it’s also body language. Your face and body needs to bring forth the concept. You can look at a photo from a distance and love everything about it because of the body language or the pose. But the second you get closer to the image the models facial expression does not match the pose or the concept. Its either because the model was trying too hard, had other things on her mind or was just not comfortable taking the photo. So with all that being said, I’m saying to just do what you feel. Let it flow!

GlamModelz Magazine: What have been your greatest successes to date? Ms Mocha: One of my greatest successes has been finding a photographer that knows how to capture me in a way that I could never do on my own. He has helped me bring out Ms. Mocha! Most of all, having a beautiful little boy that supports me more than anyone!

GlamModelz Magazine: When working with a photographer do you bring your own concepts and idea’s as well as working with theirs? Ms Mocha: When working with a photographer I try to change it up a bit. Sometimes I will bring my own concepts, but I also allow the photographer to do the same. They might find something good for me to do that I never thought of to begin with.

GlamModelz Magazine: What are your thoughts and issues with Implied and Nude posing? Ms Mocha: I don’t have an issue with implied or nude posing. As long as it’s tasteful and artistic! I actually like implied and nude posing!

GlamModelz Magazine: Have you had the support of Family, Friends and loved ones with your modeling? Ms Mocha: Oh yes! My entire family supports me in all that I do! Modeling or not! It’s important to have a support team behind you. It can’t be done without them!

GlamModelz Magazine: What are your thoughts on the whole escort issue? Ms Mocha: I feel that if a model has never had the opportunity to shoot or even meet the photographer that there should not be a problem with her having an escort. Some photographers lose out on what they really want/looking for just because they have a strict policy on escorts. Well, we live in a world of lies and deception. So why would any model trust to shoot with that photographer if she hasn’t met them. That goes for both male and female models and photographers.

GlamModelz Magazine: What would you like to see change in the industry from a model standpoint? Ms Mocha: From a model standpoint I would like to see the height thing change. I don’t think it matters how tall you are. There is a lot of talent out in the world that has yet to be discovered all because there is a restriction on height. I love the runway but because I am only 5’ 4” it’s going to be so hard to become a runway model, but I am working on changing that.

GlamModelz Magazine: What gets you motivated everyday to stay in shape and look your best at all times? Ms Mocha: Knowing that one day my time to shine will come! It’s like getting myself prepared for that day! That’s my motivation!

GlamModelz Magazine: How do you handle the inappropriate offers and sometimes rude individuals when they contact you for a session together? Ms Mocha: I ignore them! No point in entertaining something that I’m not interested in!

GlamModelz Magazine: Your thoughts on TFP or TFCD sessions in general? Ms Mocha: I think that TFP and TFCD is great! Especially for those models that are just getting into the industry and don’t have a lot of funds!

GlamModelz Magazine: Any suggestions to models about wardrobe? What to have and where to find deals? Ms Mocha: Always, always, always have a plan B! When I say plan B, I mean like an extra pair of shoes, outfit, etc. You might find an outfit that you loved and thought it was perfect! Well let’s say you get to the shoot and your thought/perception of the shoot was way off! Well always make sure you have a plan B! Also depending on if you’re going to have a makeup artist or not, always, always have your own makeup case with the foundation of your choice. It will come in handy! If you wear lashes, make sure you have a pair of those as well! I could go on and on about what to have with you!

Now when it comes to finding deals, it all really depends on the area you are in and what time of the year it is. Like I reside in the DFW area and everything is pretty much backwards. You find great prices on winter clothes in the summer and vice versa. Can’t give out all of my secrets, but I can say to look, look, look. Don’t settle, because you just might find that same thing somewhere else for a few dollars less. Trust me, those few dollars add up and go a long way.

GlamModelz Magazine: What excited you the most when you first started modeling? Ms Mocha: What excited me the most when I started modeling was the fact that I looked different. I didn’t look like the girl I saw in the photos I took with my phone or on a disposable camera. I looked like a model! And it gave me the chance to shop, and show off my style of dressing!

GlamModelz Magazine: Facial expressions are a big part of a photo session, how and where did you learn this? Ms Mocha: I learned about facial expressions through trial and error! Not everyone has the ability to be shown how to do this! Once I stopped and realized that I was trying too hard and not being myself, then I began to change it! Me cutting my hair was one of the best things I could have ever done to bring out my facial expressions!

GlamModelz Magazine: Do you feel that flexibility and diversity are important to a model portfolio? Ms Mocha: Yes, yes, yes! If a model cannot be flexible and diverse then it will make it even more difficult to find photographers to work with them. Everyone knows that we all have lives, but what a lot of models have to understand is that this a job/career. Just like you have to be flexible for your day job you have to be flexible for this industry. Even if it is just part time!

GlamModelz Magazine: How do you handle rejection? From photographers, agencies and your piers? Ms Mocha: I love rejection! Tell me know if you have to, but don’t just send me on my way with a no! Tell me why you said no so that I can work on correcting it and then come back bigger, better, stronger and even more fierce than when you met me before!

GlamModelz Magazine: How do you handle imperfections? And how important do you feel professional make up is to a model? Ms Mocha: I think imperfections can be beautiful! Allowing a professional makeup artist to do your makeup is very important! You might be able to do it yourself, but the job you do might not be good enough to bring out what you and the photographer wants to be brought out. I won’t be doing my own makeup anymore. I see the difference from when I do it and a professional does it!

GlamModelz Magazine: If you had one thing to tell a model just entering the industry what would that be? Ms Mocha: It’s a tough industry, but don’t give up! You’re going to hear some no’s and some will even say yes! But don’t give up! If it’s what you want and love then go for it with god at your side and you will succeed!

GlamModelz Magazine: What are your future plans and goals with your modeling career? Dionusia: My current goal is to make it on Maxim’s top 100 in the Hometown Hotties as well as continue to work hard to get my name out there.

GlamModelz Magazine: What’s your greatest modeling accomplishment to date? Dionusia: I think it is the simple fact that I am continuing to move forward with it. Every success even a small one is still a step in the right direction.

GlamModelz Magazine: Any thoughts or issues with implied and nude posing? Dionusia: At first I was nervous to do implied photos now I don’t view it as big of a deal; however, I am not really interested in getting involved in nude posing.

GlamModelz Magazine: Have you had the support of family, friends and significant other in regards to your decisions for your modeling career to date? Dionusia: All of my friends have been more than supportive and without them I would probably not have made it this far. My family is still not as open to the idea, but they are coming around. In time they will warm up to the idea.

GlamModelz Magazine: What gets you motivated everyday to stay in shape and look your best at all times? Dionusia: I am very self motivated. I know that at any moment I could meet the right person that could potentially make my career take off. I know that I need to look my best to make a great impression! First impressions are the most crucial in my eyes because in that first five minutes people decide whether or not they like you.

GlamModelz Magazine: How do you handle the inappropriate offers and sometimes rude individuals when they contact you for a session together? Dionusia: With inappropriate offers I thank people and politely refuse them. Rude individuals I have a tendency to ignore.

GlamModelz Magazine: Your thoughts on TFP or TFCD sessions in general? Dionusia: I think that they can help new photographers and models build a portfolio; however, once you have a portfolio built they aren’t as useful. Unless the person you are working with has some amazing work!

GlamModelz Magazine: How do you go about picking out wardrobe for a shoot? Dionusia: I usually pick whatever I feel my most beautiful and sexy in to wear. I try to make sure that everything I bring goes together so this way I am able to mix and match and fully utilize my wardrobe.

GlamModelz Magazine: What excited you the most when you first started modeling? Dionusia: How wonderful the pictures turned out.

GlamModelz Magazine: Facial expressions are a big part of a photo session, how and where did you learn this?? Dionusia: Jim Jurica has been so wonderful and taught me so much about how to be “the part”. Without his help and enthusiasm I really don’t know where I would be.

GlamModelz Magazine: How do you handle rejection from photographers, agencies and your peers? Dionusia: I take it as a challenge. It may sting a little but it gets me pumped up and makes me want to work even harder to achieve my goals.

GlamModelz Magazine: What was your first photoshoot? And what was that like? Dionusia: My first photoshoot was in Florida on a beach. My sister was actually taking pictures for a class that she was taking. It was very beautiful and awesome.

GlamModelz Magazine: How important do you feel professional makeup is to modeling? Dionusia: I love professional makeup. I don’t mind doing my own, but makeup artists can usually create something amazing from their palette of blushes and eye shadow. I think it helps when you are planning on submitting things to agencies or even for portfolio work.

GlamModelz Magazine: What makes you want to work with a photographer? What grabs your attention? Dionusia: I love when I feel comfortable in front of a photographer. It helps when they are easy going and fun to be around. Everyone has to have a little fun on a modeling set.

GlamModelz Magazine: What do you think are your best modeling assets? Dionusia: I really love my eyes, and my tummy.

GlamModelz Magazine: How did you get your start in the modeling business? Jacquleine: I actually started through Model Mayhem just for fun. I was able to work with talented photographers that I otherwise would not have been able to reach in order to build a portfolio of work that thankfully started to land me consistent paid work. Never thought a website could lead me to a modeling career but it did.

GlamModelz Magazine: What are your goals personally and with your modeling career? Jacquleine: My main goal is to always enjoy doing my work. If you dont like what you do then honestly what’s the point? I love my job….everyday is a new experience and it keeps me on my toes. I never get bored. As long as Im have fun, Im in it for the long haul!

GlamModelz Magazine: Posing 101: any suggestions to newer models coming into the business? Jacquleine: I always heard to study magazines for poses but that doesnt always work for me. I pay attention to how my body moves naturally and focus on the garment that Im selling to highlight its best features. I mean why would you want to look like every other girl in a magazine. Be yourself!

GlamModelz Magazine: You’ve been modeling less than a year and yet you’ve seen quite a bit of success coming your way for such a brief time. What has been your greatest success to date? Jacquleine: I have definitely been very blessed. I feel like my biggest success has to be my proudest moment. I was interviewed live on a spanish show called Minuto de Fama where one of my photo shoots was televised. The show aired in the Dominican Republic for all my family and friends to see. Its wonderful to have people you love be so happy and proud of you.

GlamModelz Magazine: When working on concepts for upcoming shoots, how much thought or effort do you put into it? Where does your inspiration come from? Jacqueline: Im inspired by the photographer. I like to hear their ideas and share my own. I feel like its so important to collaborate on a concept because in the end they will be the ones capturing the images and I like to make sure we are on the same page.

GlamModelz Magazine: What are your thoughts and issues with implied and nude posing? Jacquleine: Implied is one thing but nudes are just not for me. Many people argue that as a model its not going to hurt your career but I dont do it because I am just not comfortable doing it. I admire beautifully done artistic nudes but its just not for me.

GlamModelz Magazine: Have you had the support of family, friends and significant other in regards to your decisions for your modeling career to date? Jacquleine: Im so grateful that I have. My family and close friends are so proud and happy for me. They love to see that I am happy doing my work because they know first hand how long I was waiting to find something that I could be passionate about.

GlamModelz Magazine: What are your thoughts on the whole escort issue? Jacqueline: I never bring one because I feel like its disruptive to the creative process. I understand that some girls dont feel safe because there are a lot of dangers out in the world, but that’s why I do my research before working with someone. I even check references. I like to know exactly who I am working with.

GlamModelz Magazine: What would you like to see change in the industry from a model’s standpoint? Jacquleine: I would love to see more real women model fashion. I feel like beauty comes in all shapes and sizes so why not show it in garments? I would rather see a curvy model modeling a garment because then I’ll know its going to look good on me too. It just makes more sense.

GlamModelz Magazine: What gets you motivated everyday to stay in shape and look your best at all times? Jacquleine: My health… I want to live a good life and feel the best I can. But I do still cheat sometimes because you have to allow yourself to indulge from time to time.

GlamModelz Magazine: How do you handle the inappropriate offers and sometimes rude individuals when they contact you for a session together? Jacquleine: I try to be as professional as possible and just let them know I am not interested because it is not the kind of work I like to do.

GlamModelz Magazine: Do you have any thoughts or suggestions to models about wardrobe? Such as what to have and where to find deals? Jacquleine: When it comes to wardrobe, I like wear and buy what makes me feel good. No one is going to look good in something uncomfortable that you have to constantly worry about adjusting. As far as deals I always splurge on the basics because I know they are timeless and spend less on trendy items.

GlamModelz Magazine: What excited you the most when you first started modeling? Jacquleine: As silly as it sounds, getting my hair and make-up done. I loved seeing how someone else could make me look. I would feel like a different person, almost like a character ready to play my part for the camera.

GlamModelz Magazine: Facial expressions are a big part of a photo session, how and where did you learn this?? Jacquleine: I try to always be thinking and feeling something because its going to read in your face and specifically in your eyes. This will give your image more impact.

GlamModelz Magazine: How do you handle rejection from photographers, agencies and your peers? Jacquleine: I don’t even bother thinking about it. Your not going to be right for every job or for every market. It’s just part of the industry, cant take it personally. I just focus on what I am right for and continue to move forward.

GlamModelz Magazine: What was your first photoshoot? And what was that like? Jacquleine: My first photoshoot was for an agency that over charged me to produce a commercial comp card which they said I desperately needed, yes that happens a lot. But I was so excited because I felt like I was on my way to making things happen. I had an agent and was ready to start booking. I still have a stack of 200 of those comp cards and dont even use them!

GlamModelz Magazine: How do you handle imperfections? How important do you feel professional make up is to a model? Jacquleine: Great make-up is extremely important because you want your images to show you in the best possible light. You cant expect that a photographer is going to edit your face to perfection, not all of them even have that skill set, and even if they did you probably wouldnt even look like yourself anymore. Over editing in my opinion is just as bad as not doing it all.

GlamModelz Magazine: If you had one thing to tell a model just entering the industry what would that be? Jacquleine: Be yourself! Do what feels right to you and don’t let anyone talk you into anything you don’t want to do.

GlamModelz Magazine: Tell us the funniest story that has personally happened to you on a runway or photoshoot. Jacquleine: I think the funniest thing in general is when people start gathering to watch your shoot. You’ll see cars stopping on the side of the road, people taking behind the scenes pictures, and even cops standing around checking everything out. It makes me smile.

GlamModelz Magazine: We have noticed you seem to be branching out into other areas in your modeling. Do you have a style or category you really enjoy shooting? Jacquleine: I love all areas of fashion and have been lucky to do a lot of swimwear. Luckily I have been starting to book more commercial work which is surprisingly the highest paid category in modeling. One of my biggest clients is Disney, which is always fun.

GlamModelz Magazine: When reviewing photographers online portfolio’s, what grabs your attention? What type of images gets you in the mood to shoot with them? Jacquleine: I get inspired to shoot with photographers who capture a diversity of styles. To me it shows creativity and improvisation. I particularly love when I see that they can capture different outdoor locations in distinct way.

GlamModelz Magazine: What do you think are your best modeling assets? Jacquleine: I have been told my biggest asset is my diverse look and of course many would argue its my latina curves.

GlamModelz Magazine: A little birdie tells us that you’re also a talented makeup artist. Are you formally trained? Jacquleine: Lol….not trained at all. Im actually an artist and love to draw and paint. A face to me is just a different canvas to experiment with.

GlamModelz Magazine: Any special message you’d like to say to our readers and your fans? Jacquleine: I appreciate so much everyone that has believed in me and given me the opportunities to do the work I love….I feel like one lucky lady and love my fans so much:-)

GlamModelz Magazine: How did you get your start in the business? Lynnzie Cherelle: I started modeling doing spring and fall runway fashion shows for Nordstrom in 6^th grade. I was young, but felt comfortable in front of an audience (a TRUE Leo). As I graduated high school and had a little more free time and freedom entering college I took things into my own hands and actually started up on model mayhem. There wasn’t much of anything for modeling agency’s on the Eastern side of WA at the time so I “managed” myself.

GlamModelz Magazine: What are your goals personally and with your modeling career? Lynnzie Cherelle: I love modeling; it is my dream to one day make a career out of what I love to do. However, it is a very hard industry to make it in. I’m just hoping to make it big one day. A lot of hard work, dedication, and patience go into this. So basically my goal is to become a house hold name!

GlamModelz Magazine: Posing 101, any suggestions to newer models coming into the business? Lynnzie Cherelle: Know which angles look best and compliment your body type. Never pose with your hands straight at your sides, it doesn’t show your figure off and makes you look wider. If you feel awkward posing that’s ok, sometimes it’s suppose to feel that way! Have confidence in every pose you do because it will show in the photo. You don’t always have to have a dramatic pose change for each new capture, sometimes it’s just a slight hand movement or leg movement that makes all the difference.

GlamModelz Magazine: What has been your greatest success to date? Lynnzie Cherelle: I’ve done a ton of photoshoots and I think that keeping motivated when you don’t always get the “best” jobs is a success all in itself. However Cocoa jeans as well as the Maxim tear sheets have been my greatest success thus far.

GlamModelz Magazine: What are your thoughts and issues with implied and nude posing? Lynnzie Cherelle: I think it is beautiful. It is the human body and people should embrace its beauty and artistic form. After all we were born naked!;)

GlamModelz Magazine: What would you like to see change in the industry from a model’s standpoint? Lynnzie Cherelle: I would love to see more realistic models on the runway and in the fashion industry of modeling. Yes, tall skinny women are beautiful, but majority of people are not this body type.

GlamModelz Magazine: What excited you the most when you first started modeling? Lynnzie Cherelle: What excited me most was that I wanted to try everything. I wanted to do as many photoshoots as possible to show people what I was made of and what I could do.

GlamModelz Magazine: Do you feel that flexibility and diversity are important to a model’s portfolio? Lynnzie Cherelle: Very, it is always good to be well rounded in anything you do, it gives you an advantage.

GlamModelz Magazine: How do you handle rejection from photographers, agencies and your piers? Lynnzie Cherelle: Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, that’s life. But if you let rejection get you down you won’t ever go anywhere. All it takes is one YES out of a million no’s.

GlamModelz Magazine: How do you handle imperfections? How important do you feel professional make up is to a model? Lynnzie Cherelle: I embrace my imperfections, I think imperfections give character and a signature look. Why would someone want to look the same as anyone else? That’s just the way I see it. I also think professional make up looks great and can give someone a variety of looks in their portfolio. To be honest, I have only used professional makeup in about 3 of my photoshoots. If you can do your makeup then that’s great too!

GlamModelz Magazine: If you had one thing to tell a model just entering the industry what would that be? Lynnzie Cherelle: To be confident. I can’t stress that enough. People are going to try and bring you down, but that’s where you have to be mentally tough. I would also say to not jump into anything too fast, do photoshoots that are within your comfort zone while first starting out. Also be cautious about who you shoot with, get references, research their work, even do a background check if it is someone who isn’t established. There are a lot of creeps with a camera out there, I’ve experienced that first hand!

GlamModelz Magazine: Lynnzie, your on-line portfolio is quite stunning and exhibits innovative styling; every single photograph is a work of art. Do you plan the shots that you are adding to your portfolio or just shoot what ever you’re feeling at the time? Lynnzie Cherelle: I plan the concepts out ahead of time with the photographer for the most part. Sometimes I will have a feel for the emotion that I want to show through that concept, but it all comes natural when I get in front of the camera.
