GlamModel: Danielle

Written By: GlamModelz on October 25, 2008 4 Comments

GlamModelz Magazine is pleased to introduce a new face to the Fashion, Glamour, Beauty Modeling industry, Danielle of Modesto, Ca Her obvious beauty is matched not only by her desire to succeed as a model, but the amazing potential that she possesses. We look forward to seeing many great things from Danielle in the very near future.

GlamModelz Magazine: How did you get your start in the business? Dani: I started working in a local night club. A couple of local photographers would come to events and take my picture. I ended up meeting a guy who owns a local clothing store and made me one of his promo girls. From there I was introduced to a few more photographers and started modeling.

GlamModelz Magazine: What are your goals personally and with your modeling career?
Dani – I dream to become a Victoria Secrets Model… or represent and promote a major name brand.

GlamModelz Magazine: Posing 101 any suggestions to newer models coming into the business?
Dani – You have to be comfortable with yourself, your expressions, your body, the way you feel in front of the lens.

GlamModelz Magazine: What have been your greatest successes to date? Dani: Glammodelz Magazine and a series in Dear Abby.

GlamModelz Magazine: When working with a photographer do you bring your own concepts and idea’s as well as working with theirs? Dani: I love working with a photographer that allows me to be creative and influence the shoot with my own unique input. Inspiring each other is key. So, the answer is yes.

DSC_2885 copyers.jpgGlamModelz Magazine: What are your thoughts and issues with Implied and Nude posing ? Dani: I believe that implied nudes can be looked at in many different lights i.e. can be elegant, glamorous, eccentric… I enjoy doing these. I like to leave some things to the imagination though. Nudes are not my style.

GlamModelz Magazine: Have you had the support of Family, Friends and loved ones with your modeling? Dani: In the beginning everyone was a little bit weary, but my mom has stuck by my side cheering me on. Now my dad is stating to accept it ;)

GlamModelz Magazine: What are your thoughts on the whole escort issue? Dani: I think that depending on if I have met the photographer before, location, and if I feel comfortable being alone with them affects my outlook on bringing along an escort.

GlamModelz Magazine: What would you like to see change in the industry from a model standpoint? Dani: Most Models are 5’8? to 6′, yet they market to a group of men and women who are middle America typically a lot shorter. Market to the consumer and not the elite
Is where I think the biggest obstacle for aspiring model to overcome.

GlamModelz Magazine: What gets you motivated everyday to stay in shape and look your best at all times? Dani: Being in front of the camera is my passion. I’ve made the choice to keep myself on track and healthy, plus you feel better about yourself that way. What beats that =)

DSC_3899ers.jpgGlamModelz Magazine: How do you handle the inappropriate offers and sometimes rude individuals when they contact you for a session together? Dani: Each situation is different. I am firm believer in checking references. If I feel concerned I can always bring an escort.

GlamModelz Magazine: Your thoughts on TFP or TFCD sessions in general? Dani: I think it’s very helpful to build your portfolio. Network and build relationships

DSC_3937e rscopy.jpgGlamModelz Magazine: Any suggestions to models about wardrobe? What to have and where to find deals? Dani: Every Lady needs a simple black dress in her wardrobe, heels, something casual with a good pair of jeans doesn’t hurt either….

GlamModelz Magazine: What excited you the most when you first started modeling? Dani: Getting to see the end results!!! I get so excited =)

GlamModelz Magazine: Facial expressions are a big part of a photo session, how and where did you learn this?? Dani: A lot of looking in the mirror and practicing.

GlamModelz Magazine: Do you feel that flexibility and diversity are important to a model portfolio? Dani: Most Definitely! Very important keeps your viewers inspired …. makes clients want to work with you.

GlamModelz Magazine: How do you handle rejection? from photographers, agencies and your piers? Dani: “NEXT one bring it on!” lol it’s going to happen soon or later, it just makes me work harder.

GlamModelz Magazine: How do you handle imperfections.. And how important do you feel professional make up is to a model. Dani: I am capable of doing my own make-up and hair. I also can appreciate a skilled make-up artist and hair stylists. They are an important part of the equation.

GlamModelz Magazine: If you had one thing to tell a model just entering the industry what would that be? Dani: Keep your head up! When the going gets tough the tough gets going!! Practice.
