GlamModelz Magazine: How did you get your start in the business? Jenna: Modeling has always been fascinating to me. I started out with a basic studio shoot for headshots and fell in love with the art. There is so much a model can do to convey emotion through photos.
GlamModelz Magazine: What are your goals personally and with your modeling career? Jenna: To be the best I can be…. staying focused, continuing to grow and develop as a model.
GlamModelz Magazine: Posing 101 any suggestions to newer models coming into the business? Jenna: Be natural. Do poses that are comfortable and flattering to your body.
GlamModelz Magazine: What have been your greatest successes to date? Jenna: Working with the photographers that I have. I’ve been fortunate to collaborate with great people.
GlamModelz Magazine: When working with a photographer do you bring your own concepts and idea’s as well as working with theirs? Jenna: Always. When I have a concept in mind, the photographer usually can make it happen. A photo is developed by the model and photographer, so brainstorming concepts is so important.
GlamModelz Magazine: What are your thoughts and issues with Implied and Nude posing? Jenna: I think there are very beautiful implied photos. The body is a beautiful thing, however I prefer not to pose nude.
GlamModelz Magazine: Have you had the support of Family, Friends and loved ones with your modeling? Jenna: I do. It would hard without the support.
GlamModelz Magazine: What are your thoughts on the whole escort issue? Jenna: I don’t bring escorts. I think they can get in the way of a good photo. If I’m not comfortable when talking to a photographer I don’t work with them.
GlamModelz Magazine: What would you like to see change in the industry from a model standpoint? Jenna: The stereotypes. Constant judging and critiquing.
GlamModelz Magazine: What gets you motivated everyday to stay in shape and look your best at all times? Jenna: It feels good to be healthy and in shape. It keeps me happy when I look in the mirror and can be content.
GlamModelz Magazine: How do you handle the inappropriate offers and sometimes rude individuals when they contact you for a session together? Jenna: I ignore it. There are always going to be creeps. It comes with the job.
GlamModelz Magazine: Your thoughts on TFP or TFCD sessions in general? Jenna: If its beneficial to my portfolio I think TF’s are great.
GlamModelz Magazine: Any suggestions to models about wardrobe? What to have and where to find deals? Jenna: Vintage shops! I have come across really awesome accessories and clothing pieces from vintage and second-hand stores.
GlamModelz Magazine: What excited you the most when you first started modeling? Jenna: It felt glamorous. It allowed me to truly feel beautiful.
GlamModelz Magazine: Facial expressions are a big part of a photo session, how and where did you learn this?? Jenna: Lots of playing in the mirror! It takes a while to really get expressions down.
GlamModelz Magazine: Do you feel that flexibility and diversity are important to a model portfolio? Jenna: It is key. A diverse portfolio shows the versatility of a model.
GlamModelz Magazine: How do you handle rejection? from photographers, agencies and your piers? Jenna: Take it with a grain of salt. Rejection makes me stronger.
GlamModelz Magazine: How do you handle imperfections.. and how important do you feel professional make up is to a model? Jenna: Beauty has imperfections. I embrace it. There isn’t a perfect person out there.
GlamModelz Magazine: If you had one thing to tell a model just entering the industry what would that be? Jenna: Know your standards and define yourself from the beginning. People will try to turn you into something you may not want. Be you.
