GlamModelz Magazine: Welcome to GlamModelz Magazine Ryan Leigh!

GlamModelz Magazine: How did you get your start in the business? Ryan Leigh: I started on a journaling site taking pictures of myself and one of my friends told me about Model Mayhem and so I made some MM with pictures I had taken by myself and ended up getting a gig for a photography class at the beach where I lived and the rest is history!

GlamModelz Magazine: What are your goals personally and with your modeling career? Ryan Leigh: Well I would love to be one of the faces on one of the big company walls for Hollister or Aeropostal store. Maybe some hair or makeup ads in magazines.

GlamModelz Magazine: What have been your greatest successes to date? Ryan Leigh: My biggest success to date was my Cyber Girl of the week pictorial for the Playboy Cyber girls website.

GlamModelz Magazine: Have you had the support of Family, Friends and loved ones with your modeling? Ryan Leigh: Yes, My family and friends have supported me all the way and have always loved my work and support me no matter what.

GlamModelz Magazine: What are your thoughts on the whole escort issue? Ryan Leigh: I think that if you are not comfortable working with a photographer then you should trust your gut instinct and not schedule the shoot. I think it’s a little harder to work with someone who is in the room just in case something happens. You’re not gonna get the right shot if you’re worried something might happen.

GlamModelz Magazine: What would you like to see change in the industry from a model standpoint? Ryan Leigh: I wish there were more opportunities for shorter models.

GlamModelz Magazine: Any suggestions to models about wardrobe? What to have and where to find deals? Ryan Leigh: Ross and Goodwill are a great place, as well as Rue 21 for good deals on cute lingerie and clothing. A lot of my wardrobe is just for modeling so I have to go cheap! Haha. But really just have a huge variety so you can do a number of looks and you’re not always shooting in the same old clothing.

GlamModelz Magazine: What excited you the most when you first started modeling? Ryan Leigh: The possibility of being famous and the idea of being able to tell everyone “Hey, I’m a model!”

GlamModelz Magazine: Facial expressions are a big part of a photo session, how and where did you learn this?? Ryan Leigh: I had a nice date with my bathroom mirror!

GlamModelz Magazine: Do you feel that flexibility and diversity are important to a model portfolio? Ryan Leigh: Yes, the more versatile you are, the more work offers you have, You have to be able to fit a number of photographers needs and ideas to progress with your career, plus it helps you find what you are really good at.
