One-Digital-Place-Photography-CK-GlamModlez-0Aspiring actors and models characterize acting and modeling auditions. They all want to get the modeling or acting contract. Auditions can make a person anxious and even cause jitters. To avoid this, the person should adhere to the following tips to improve their audition. You should sleep well the night before the audition to make sure that you have a fresh look at the audition. Apart from skills, a person’s appearance is important during acting and modeling auditions, having eye bags may lead to your disqualification. Before the audition, you should breathe deeply as this helps you relax. Deep breathes ensure that enough oxygen goes to the brain enabling you to think clearly and respond to questions easily.

You can ask for a glass of water during the audition. Sipping water has a calming effect on your performance during the audition. During this time, the person can amend their thoughts and strategies to use. Body language speaks volume during modeling auditions. A tense body shows that a person is not relaxed. You should choose an open body language instead as it demonstrates that you are actively listening and you are receptive to the questions.

Smile a lot, as it shows your personality. A good smile says that you are a confident, happy person who would love to work with the company. The smile also helps ease tension and create a relaxed atmosphere. Making good eye contact during the audition is important. It shows that you believe in yourself and in what you are saying. It also shows that you have nothing to hide. Ensure that you use the right professional salutation when referring to a person in the judging panel. Avoid being too friendly or too uptight. Your sitting posture is also important. If asked to sit on a sofa, do not seem to be too relaxed by sitting right back on the seat. Instead, seat upright as it shows you are attentive and interested.

During a modeling audition, you should ask questions and ask the panel of judges to repeat or clarify something that you do not understand. Failure to do so can make you blunder during the audition or this might haunt you later. However, the questions asked should be intelligent and relevant, as the person does not want to ask questions that make you look stupid and unprofessional.

After the audition, ask for feedback on the areas you need to improve, and on your overall presentation. This is important as it helps you become more marketable and prepared during future auditions. Send the agency a follow-up thank you note. This is not only polite, but it shows that you appreciated the opportunity to audition.

Lighting 101 - Part 1

It's all about the light. Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines photography as: the art or process of producing images by the action of radiant energy and especially light on a sensitive surface.
