GlamModelz Magazine interviews Glam Model Amelia Talon of Seattle, WA. Amelia Talon, is a new model on the scene working hard to become an established model. GlamModelz Magazine is proud to be the first magazine to bring you this beautiful talented young lady and give you some of her insights on the world of Glam.
GlamModelz Magazine: How did you get your start in the business? Amelia Talon: I started modeling via this networking website called ModelMayhem.com and began shooting here and there and learning how to model. Within the past year I’ve been working my butt to really expand as a model and I’ve got a lot of projects in the works!
GlamModelz Magazine: What are your goals personally and with your modeling career? Amelia Talon: My goals really are to keep on modeling until I’m dead n buried. I’d love to inspire just as I had been inspired and to leave some sort of legacy, but I’m an artist at heart and modeling is one of my many outlets, so I’ll always be doing it and seeing where it takes me.
GlamModelz Magazine: What has been your greatest success to date? Amelia Talon: My greatest success has to be all the wonderful opportunities I have had recently and in the past. I have been able to travel to wonderful destinations. I am very grateful for all of my photographers, make up artists and everyone else who I have worked with. Success to me is having the best experiences you can treasure your whole life.
GlamModelz Magazine: What are your thoughts and issues with implied and nude posing? Amelia Talon: I have no problems with implied or nude posing, we were all born naked. In my opinion I think society has put up a huge wall of censorship on nudity unnecessarily. The censorship is reasonable but to make it to the point of causing distress, anxiety, shame and humiliation simply because of our natural state seems like it can be avoided.
GlamModelz Magazine: What are your thoughts on the whole escort issue? Amelia Talon: I see both sides really. As a model I would like to be able to have someone else with me, travelling alone is always a little intimidating and if I am carrying luggage for my shoots it’s really difficult getting around by myself. But for a photographer, I understand that there are the horror stories of thieves and jealous boyfriends, and I’d never bring any of those kinds of people to my shoots anyways.
GlamModelz Magazine: What excited you the most when you first started modeling? Amelia Talon: I was ultimately excited to play different characters in modeling. I love Halloween, and modeling is basically Halloween everyday on the job for me. I get to indulge in dressing up and playing around. The parts are not always zombies and vampires, sometimes just casual, but it’s still fun.
GlamModelz Magazine: Facial expressions are a big part of a photo session, how and where did you learn this?? Amelia Talon: America’s Next Top Model started emphasizing on smiling (smile with your eyes) and that’s where it began. It took a few photo sessions to realize how to exactly do it in front of the camera, but with practice I’ve got it. Trial and Error.
GlamModelz Magazine: Tell us the funniest story that has personally happened to you on a runway or photoshoot: Amelia Talon: LOL Well.. I once got so hot from being covered in latex mold to create a body cast that by the time it was taken off I immediately had to vomit in the photographers water bucket. Good thing we’ve shot together quite a bit, otherwise that would have been humiliating. But I tend to really heat up when I’m shooting, I should make my slogan “I’m smokin’ hot!”, ha.
GlamModelz Magazine: We have noticed you seam to be branching out into other areas in your modeling. Do you have a style or category you really enjoy shooting? Amelia Talon: To be honest, I love shooting everything. I particularly love glamour, who would not like being sexy all the time, but I’m also a really big fan of horror type stuff, like zombies. I would love to do more of that, but I’m not sure where it would lead, other than me having a blast with it.
GlamModelz Magazine: The Modeling reality TV shows have created quite an interest in modeling these days. Can you offer any advice for those interested in getting their big brake? Any Tips for models wishing to do it sooner rather then later? Amelia Talon:My advice is to not put your heart into getting on modeling reality tv shows, they are more looking for characters than real models and you generally never hear of the winner ever again. Getting your big break has a lot to do with getting lucky, you have to have the right face in right the place and time. To get into the business faster you have to do a lot of things to get you exposure, but not anything and everything. Network and travel, those are the two keys.
GlamModelz Magazine: Nude modeling is a difficult decision for most models to make as a career choice, what lead you to make that decision? Do you have any regrets about your decision? Amelia Talon: I actually don’t remember the transition from clothed modeling to nude and the thought processes that went on. I just know now that I am very happy nude modeling. Art nudes feed my inner artist and let me explore contorting my body and becoming more advanced at posing. In a way I do regret nude modeling because now that I’m breaking into more glamour work, a lot of the successful glamour models don’t actually do a lot or any full nudes. But I wouldn’t change what I’ve done, it’s gotten me to where I am now.
