ElaineStella-coverEveryone comes to modeling for reasons that are unique to their own interests and desires. Some girls love exciting fashions and exotic but stylish apparel. Other girls celebrate all their hard work on their physiques and are proud of what they have achieved in physical beauty. Still other models grow to love the learning curve of posing, facial expressions and all the ins and outs of modeling. Then there are lovely and compelling beauties like Elaine, who combines all of these qualities in her evolving journey as a model. Elaine Stella of Worcester, MA has quietly become a trend setter in the Fashion and Glamour Modeling Industry. She has gently built a strong following, cultivated a look all her own, has seen her beauty and talents steadily develop and has demonstrated all the right assets that any model who desires success should have. And yet Elaine modestly navigates the modeling world with patience and an understanding of her goals better than most. Hers has been a fascinating journey that I have observed with joy and we at GlamModelz are proud to have her in our own publication.

IMG_17GlamModelz Magazine: What excited you the most when you first started modeling? Elaine: What excited me the most when I first started modeling was all of the different poses, outfits and makeup. I was also eager to see the outcome of the pictures and how I presented myself.

GlamModelz Magazine: Have you had the support of family, friends and significant other in modeling career to date? How do you handle negative feelings from those intimidated with your success?  Elaine: My family, especially my mother and my grandmother, who recently passed away, have always been supportive. My Nanna has always been supportive and believed in me and I believe that she still does when looking down on me from heaven. There are always going to be people who will be negative, but I ignore them and just believe in the saying “live and let live.”

IMG_19GlamModelz Magazine: Posing is, of course, one of the biggest parts of modeling. What inspires you in the unique gracefully poses you pull off so beautifully? What advice would you offer new models to the industry when it comes to posing?    Elaine: Posing is very difficult, especially trying to get the right pose to match the right lighting. My advice would be to believe in your photographer, who should guide you the right way. I know mine does.

GlamModelz Magazine: What gets you motivated every day to stay in shape and look your best at all times?   Elaine: What gets me motivated to stay in shape and look my best is pretty simple to explain. I think inside and outside beauty can get you far and get you ahead in life. I think that beauty and fitness are very important for your health and for your own state of mind.

IMG_22GlamModelz Magazine: It appears to us that most Men’s Magazines are fixated on some part of the female anatomy. Tell us what do you think your best assets are?     Elaine: My best assets would have to be my long blond hair and leg muscles. A flat stomach is always a plus too.

GlamModelz Magazine: We have noticed you seem to be branching out into other areas in your modeling like implied nude modeling. Do you have a style or category you really enjoy shooting the most? Why?    Elaine: I enjoyed branching out into implied nude modeling. It was something I never thought I would do, but now that I have, it really made me feel a different kind of beauty. I really don’t feel I have a favorite style. I just go with what I feel comfortable with and always follow the advice of my photographer. He is great and he knows my best features.

GlamModelz Magazine: Your complexion always looks so flawless. How important do you feel professional make up is to a model? Will you share your beauty secrets you use to keep it that way?     Elaine: I always use professional makeup and hire a professional makeup artist. I think makeup makes a big difference in my pictures and I love the way my makeup artist can really make my eyes stand out. I really do not have any makeup secrets I can pass along at this point beyond the skills of my makeup artist.

IMG_7GlamModelz Magazine: Your sense of style and fashion is both eclectic and very eye-catching. Do you have any favorite designers and advice that you would like to share with our readers?     Elaine: I don’t really have any favorite designers, but I am a big fan of the Kardashians from their clothing to their hair to their makeup.

GlamModelz Magazine: Do you promote any special charitable organizations or community services that you would like to share with our readers? How do you feel community service benefits your modeling career?     Elaine: I have done some charitable events from working at homeless shelters to donating to my mother’s non-profit children’s clothing store. I keep what I do for charity separate from modeling.

GlamModelz Magazine: How do you handle the inappropriate offers and sometimes rude individuals when they contact you?    Elaine: I get a lot of inappropriate messages and advances from men and, while I don’t find it unusual, I definitely do not condone it and ignore it as much as I can. If it becomes very harassing, then I usually report them and block them via the Internet.

GlamModelz Magazine: Do you have any thoughts or advice you would like to pass along to photographers? In your mind what makes a spectacular photo-shoot experience and a first-rate professional?  Elaine: I have not been interested in shooting with any photographer other than Rick Trottier, but I would not be opposed to it. I would never shoot with anyone that Rick did not approve of because I trust him so much. Any advice I would give to other photographers would only be to pick Rick’s brain a bit because what he has to say and his advice can go a long way.

Lighting Patterns

Back to the Basics: I'm receiving a lot of mail asking me to explain a little more of the thought process that goes into the "methods of my madness, when deciding how to configure lighting setups". Perhaps I assumed and skipped a few steps when I first started posting tutorials here. Lets just start at the very beginning for those questing more. My setups are nothing unique and as badly as I wish I could take ...

A Good Review of the New Nikon D3400 DSLR Camera

By Jeremy Bayston  |   Submitted On March 13, 2017   The Nikon D3400 is aimed primarily at people who want to learn about photography and are moving up from bridge cameras or compact cameras or coming straight in from having taken up photography with their mobile phones. As a result it is designed to help people to move along from the automatic settings, which will probably be used initially, onto the semi-automatic and manual settings and ...
