GlamModelz Magazine interviews Glam Model: Charlie Mancini, of Chicago, Il. Charlie, has a unique style that is all her own. With creative posing, beautiful features and expression, Charlie, is fast becoming a recognizable face within the Glamour Modeling Industry.
GlamModelz Magazine: How did you get your start in the business? Charlie: I started modeling while in school, to make a little extra money. My modeling career just took off from there.
GlamModelz Magazine: Posing 101, any suggestions to newer models coming into the business? Charlie: Keep it clean for as long as possible, hold off on the nudity, unless that’s where you’re headed.
GlamModelz Magazine: When working on concepts for upcoming shoots, how much thought or effort do you put into it? Where does your inspiration come from? Charlie: Charlie: I let the photographers come up with the ideas and inspiration, and then I feed off that energy at the time of the shoot to get them what they want.
GlamModelz Magazine: Have you had the support of family, friends and significant others with modeling career? Charlie: People can be jealous of any success that isn’t theirs and I’ve had the occasional hater. But my friends and family are very supportive and that helps me a lot.
GlamModelz Magazine: What would you like to see change in the industry from a model’s standpoint? Charlie: I work hard at modeling so it would be nice to get paid more for my work. And there’s too much drama in this business. I would be happy with less drama!
GlamModelz Magazine: How do you handle the inappropriate offers and sometimes rude individuals when they contact you for a session together? Charlie: I either ignore it or simply state I’m not interested.
GlamModelz Magazine: Your thoughts on TFP or TFCD sessions in general? Charlie: I see nothing wrong with other models doing trade shoots for fun or to get what they need. But personally, I don’t do them outside of a very, very small number of photographer friends. Bills to pay…
GlamModelz Magazine: Do you have any thoughts or suggestions to models about wardrobe? Such as what to have and where to find deals? Charlie: Always bring the basics. A makeup kit, jeans, shoes, wardrobe and other things you usually need or wear at shoots. Keep a little suitcase packed with these things and always bring it with. Even when wardrobe and makeup are being provided because you never know if someone else isn’t going to show up that day.
GlamModelz Magazine: What excited you the most when you first started modeling? Charlie: Travel.I love to travel and modeling has been a great way to finance my travels.
GlamModelz Magazine: Facial expressions are a big part of a photo session, how and where did you learn this?? Charlie: I really don’t think about posing and expressions. It just comes naturally and when I think about it too much, it looks forced and unnatural.
GlamModelz Magazine: Do you feel that flexibility and diversity are important to a model’s portfolio? Charlie: Of course! No one wants to be type cast into a single role. I shoot a lot of glamour nudes and fetish because they pay well. And I enjoy doing those kinds of content. But I’m also attracted to any crazy idea that’s off-the-wall and portrays me in a different way.
GlamModelz Magazine: How do you handle imperfections? How important do you feel professional make up is to a model? Charlie: I think it’s important to find what works best for yourself. Imperfections can be hidden and manipulated.
GlamModelz Magazine: If you had one thing to tell a model just entering the industry what would that be? Charlie: Keep your nose clean. Seriously. Everyone in this industry knows everyone else and talks behind each others backs. Rise above that and you’ll find yourself getting more work.
GlamModelz Magazine: Due to the current state of the economy in the U.S. have you noticed any major changes in the industry within your geographical area? Charlie: Photographers seem to want more from each shoot while paying less these days.
GlamModelz Magazine: Your complexion always looks so flawless. Will you share your beauty secrets you use to keep it that way? Charlie: I’ve always had good skin. But I think it helps that I stay away from drinking and hard drugs. Too many girls I know get caught up in the club scene and it makes them look old before their time.
GlamModelz Magazine: How much input do you have in the process of creating images? Charlie: Most of the work in my portfolio is the photographers idea’s. I’m just blank canvass.
GlamModelz Magazine: Nude modeling is a difficult decision for most models to make as a career choice, what lead you to make that decision? Do you have any regrets about your decision? Charlie: I have no regrets. I’m very comfortable being naked and I love my body.
GlamModelz Magazine: It appears to us that most eye candy magazines are fixated on some part of the female anatomy. Tell us what do you think your best assets are? Charlie: I would say my eyes are my best features. I’m sure most men looking at my images are looking elsewhere!
GlamModelz Magazine: You’ve been published in Playboy (Girls of Lingerie) Congratulations! Any other big publications? Charlie: I’ve also been in Hustler Taboo.
GlamModelz Magazine: Being a busty (but fit) model, do you find wardrobe shopping difficult? Any shopping secrets you’d like to share? Charlie: Shopping for my bust size is insanely difficult. I’m big on top and small around the waist and hard to fit. There’s no magic answer to the question, just a lot of trial and error when trying on clothes.
GlamModelz Magazine: Any special message you’d like to pass along to your fans? Charlie: Keep an eye out for Charlie Mancini! And thanks for all the support
