GlamModelz Magazine interviews Glam Model Leah Parker: of Orange County, CA. Leah Parker:,  is a new model on the scene working hard to become an established model.  GlamModelz Magazine is proud to be the first magazine to bring you this beautiful talented young lady and give you some of her insights on the world of Glam.

GlamModelz Magazine: What are your goals personally and with your modeling career?  Leah Parker:  My personal goals are to quit being so serious about life and the pressures that always tag along, but instead to learn how to have fun, to enjoy and to pay attention to the important and enriching things that life offers, no matter how small.  When I am working my goal is to really concentrate on not only being successful and to stay challenged but to learn something new everyday to energize both my business and modeling careers.
As for my modeling career goals, I am really focused now on researching agencies and new projects. In order to achieve that goal I know that I must stay in great shape and always look my best. You just never know when that big opportunity is going to come knocking, so it is important to always be prepared.

GlamModelz Magazine: What gets you motivated everyday to stay in shape and look your best at all times?  Leah Parker: Every model knows that this is such a competitive industry. Because of this competitiveness I draw my motivation from the knowledge that all of the other models are working every bit as hard as I am to look awesome, so I am always striving to improve my looks and poses from each shoot and to prioritize gym/workout time and sleep to stay in great shape.

GlamModelz Magazine: If you had one thing to tell a model just entering the industry what would that be? Leah Parker: Every project/opportunity has a desired look, so always listen carefully, be open to communications and suggestions, be knowledgeable about the project and individuals involved, be forward thinking and creative and always do your very best.  No matter what the result of the shoot, always be confident that you represented yourself well and never discouraged by criticism or missing the dream project.  If you work hard and stay focused the right projects and opportunities will eventually come your way.
GlamModelz Magazine: Your complexion always looks so flawless. Will you share your beauty secrets you use to keep it that way? Leah Parker: Washing my face morning and night, is like eating breakfast and dinner for me. It is an absolute MUST.  I apply anti-aging wrinkle cream twice a day as well. AND, don’t forget to wear plenty of the right type of sunscreen whenever your outside.

GlamModelz Magazine:: Tell us what do you think your best assets are? Leah Parker: Well that is an easy question to answer it would be my smile.  I just happened to be blessed with a great smile, or so family and friends have told me.

GlamModelz Magazine:Do you feel other women are intimidated when learning you are a model and how do you handle this? Leah Parker:: No, not at all. If anything, women want to know more about what I do, how I stay in shape, how I prepare for a shoot and what a shoot is really like.

GlamModelz Magazine: When working on concepts for upcoming shoots, how much thought or effort do you put into it? Where does your inspiration come from?  Leah Parker: I put a lot of effort in making every shoot my very best, but at the same time, I like to get the photographer’s input and vision about the shoot. If I am present with a concept that may look better outside rather than in a studio, then I want them to make thoughtful suggestions. I love to brainstorm with photographers once I am fully aware of concepts. Once we are all in agreement and on the same page I love to run with visions and make the most out of each shoot. My inspiration comes from many different areas including life experiences, magazines, billboards, prior projects, photographers I have worked with, other model’s portfolio’s, etc. I try to get laser focused on the concept/vision for each shoot.

GlamModelz Magazine: Posing is, of course, one of the biggest parts of modeling. What inspires you in the unique gracefully poses you seam to be pulling off? What advise would you offer new models to the industry? Leah Parker: My inspiration comes mostly from magazines and other photoshoots.  I frequently study the models and images from periodicals like Shape, InStyle, and Vogue. I find that observing poses of fashion models, action shots and wardrobes really helps me to better visualize what I can incorporate into an upcoming photoshoot.  Since I am not always as flexible as I would like to be or perhaps as I think other models maybe, I find it particularly useful to practice new and different looks and poses in front of a full length.   Finally, I study and review images from my past shoots to see what I can do better to present and enhance my appearance in front of the camera.

GlamModelz Magazine: Do you promote any special charitable organizations or community services that you would like to share with our readers?  How do you feel community service benefits your modeling career? Leah Parker: Not at this time with my recent relocation, but I’ve got my eyes open for the right opportunity and cause.

GlamModelz Magazine: Do you have any thoughts or advice you would like to pass along to photographers who shoot fashion shows? In you mind what makes a spectacular runway shot?   Leah Parker: Well its all about getting the right  image, so be sure to communicate clearly with the photographer about the lighting, timing, location and the pausing for just the right pose or movement for the image.  I always feel like a quick run through the shoot points prior to the fashion is always very beneficial

GlamModelz Magazine: What are your goals and aspirations as a model?  Leah Parker: To become a successful commercial/print model with the flexibility and opportunity to work in all styles from swimsuit to fitness to fashion, and of course as I said earlier to land that cool ad campaign or big project in the next twelve months.
