GlamModel: Lynne D.

Posted by GlamModelz Magazine on June 15, 2012 3 Comments

GlamModelz Magazine is so pleased to interview the stunning Glam Model: Lynne D. of Plano, Texas.  Lynne D. is a veteran model,  with many publication credits, She  is a trend setter in the Glamour Modeling Industry and we are proud to have her in our own publication.

GlamModelz Magazine: How did you get your start in the business Lynne, and what goals have your set for your self?  Lynne D: I came into the Business by accident! I was hanging out with a model friend and she thought that I should go to a shoot with her…I went and LOVED what I saw! My friend called in a favor and booked me a shoot! I love everything about the modeling world! I enjoy becoming a creation or character. My goal is to enjoy every minute of this amazing opportunity as long as I can!

GlamModelz Magazine: What are your goals personally and with your modeling career?  Lynne D: My main goal is to make the client happy! It’s always greatness to see my work in other peoples ports or to get published! My goal is to create pictures that I can be proud of!

GlamModelz Magazine: What has been your greatest success to date?  Lynne D: I am only 5’3 so I am most proud of working with designers. Oscar Fierro was the first designer to allow me to model his designs and Dina Chavez is an amazing designer who used me for her clothing line!

_DS39096-editedwebGlamModelz Magazine: When working on concepts for upcoming shoots, how much thought or effort do you put into it? Where does your inspiration come from?  Lynne D: I usually have very little input on the creativity of a shoot…If I am told that I am going to wear a clown suit then I try my best to think like a clown (a sexy clown) and get the job done! If I am lucky enough to come up with a concept I look through Vogue and I drive through the city and look at structures, and I look through makeup portfolios.

5 – GlamModelz Magazine: What are your thoughts and issues with implied versus nude posing? Lynne D: I choose not to do nudes but I will do body paint or implieds. I think a model should do what she is comfortable with! I have seen some AMAZING nude work…and maybe one day I will make that leap…but for now I have the line drawn at implied.

GlamModelz Magazine: What would you like to see change in the industry from a model’s standpoint? Lynne D: The biggest road block for me has been the height requirements! Thankfully I have a good look for glamour ;) It is sad for shorter models who have an amazing look but can’t walk a runway due to their height! I would change the industry standard!

_DS39405-editedwebGlamModelz Magazine: What gets you motivated everyday to stay in shape and look your best at all times? Lynne D: I love the gym!!! The gym is my Temple…I really don’t need motivation because I get frustrated if I have to skip a day!

GlamModelz Magazine: Do you have any thoughts or suggestions to models about wardrobe?  Such as what to have and where to find deals? Lynne D: Well as a model I am used to my wardrobe being provided! I do know you should always bring a kit. You should have double sided tape, extra shoes in black and nude, also a strapless bra, and your own eyelashes, body oil, nude nail polish, and hair pins, and panties that wont leave a line.

GlamModelz Magazine: Facial expressions are a big part of a photo session, how and where did you learn this?? Lynne D: I look through my pictures and pick apart what I do and what I don’t like! If it’s a pose or a facial expression I make a mental note to never do that again. I like to smile laugh and not be afraid to look a little funny or strange…Just having fun on a shoot makes all the difference

_DS39241-editedwebGlamModelz Magazine: Do you feel that flexibility and diversity are important to a model’s portfolio? Lynne D: Oh, Yes! I want to be known as a model who can be anything! I am willing to get dirty, bloody (fake blood), or to go to a crazy location! You have to trust a vision from the photographer or designer and just do your best at playing the role of whatever character they have in mind!

GlamModelz Magazine: Tell us the funniest story that has personally happened to you on a runway or photoshoot: Lynne D: I was at a bridal shoot with an amazingly beautiful model. This shoot demanded that we get into some water. As we were trying to look stunning and sexy in this cold dirty water we hear our photographer say, “ ok girls be very still…THERE IS A SNAKE!!!!” we started trying to climb over each other screaming and yelling…there was NO SNAKE! We vowed to get our photographer back one day! And we will because we know that her fear is spiders *muahahahaha*

GlamModelz Magazine: We have noticed you seam to be branching out into other areas in your modeling. Do you have a style or category you really enjoy shooting? Lynne D: My favorite category would be artistic/creative!  There is something amazing about the feeling of a studio when a team comes together to see a vision come to life.

_DS39291-editedbwwebGlamModelz Magazine: Your complexion always looks so flawless. Will you share your beauty secrets you use to keep it that way? Lynne D: Well, I would tell you but then I would have to kill you J…I will tell you that I use oils and lotions to stay hydrated!

GlamModelz Magazine: When reviewing photographers online portfolio’s, what grabs your attention? What type of images gets you in the mood to shoot with them? Lynne D: Photographers who are open minded and have a wide variety of images are most likely people that I want to work with! I don’t do boring!

GlamModelz Magazine: Tell us what do you think your best assets are? Lynne D: My eyes are my favorite asset!

GlamModelz Magazine: Do you feel other women are intimidated when learning you are a model and how do you handle this? Lynne D: I am a people person! I am really down to earth and easy going! I don’t really flaunt my modeling to my *every day* friends! I am just an average girl and so I don’t really have anything that another girl should be jealous of!

Lynne D GlamModelz Magazine: Facial expressions and body langue are sometimes the hardest part of a successful photo session, how and where did you learn this and do you have any special routines or rituals you go through when you are preparing for a photoshoot??  Lynne D: I like to play Rihanna’s song rockstar before a shoot…yep I am a nerd ;)

GlamModelz Magazine: Do you have any hobbies or special interests that you feel contribute to your success in modeling and why do you feel they are a contributing to achieve your goals? Lynne D: I do not have any hobbies at this current time! I spend my off time with my nephews and my twin or traveling.

GlamModelz Magazine: Do you promote any special charitable organizations or community services that you would like to share with our readers?  How do you feel community service benefits your modeling career? Lynne D: I am all about doing things to help others! At the moment I am working with a company called voodoo outdoors http://www.voodoobuckgrub.com/ they are trying to raise money to take sick children on a trip to a ranch/camp.

Lynne D GlamModelz Magazine: Have you met any local designers at fashion shows that you would like to share with our readers?  Lynne D: Oscar Fierro and Dina Chavez have been my favorite designers to work with! Oscar Fierro is flashy and quirky and just a kind soul! Dina Chavez is Quiet and lovely and such a joy.

GlamModelz Magazine: Do you have any thoughts or advice you would like to pass along to photographers who shoot fashion shows? In you mind what makes a spectacular runway shot?   Lynne D: Great lighting and good angles are the best advice that I could give for any good image.

GlamModelz Magazine: Which website do you feel is best for getting your name out there? Where to you receive the most response? Which site(s) do you feel are the worst and why?   Lynne D: A website is what you make of it! I can’t speak badly of anything! I have had great luck with anything from Facebook to Model mayhem!

Thanks GlamModelz Magazine for a great interview… I was hoping that you would send some handsome man to interview me…maybe next time? Haha…wait I am not joking…next time send me a hot shirtless man and then he can ask me anything ;)

Much love ~ Lynne Dee xoxo
